Steam Drops Free Fantasy RPG That’ll Gobble Up Your Free Time

Steam has released a new free-to-play fantasy RPG that’s perfect for when you have a little downtime. The gaming platform adds many free games every month, covering all sorts of genres like RPGs and racing. Recently, Steam made eight diverse games available for free, so you can choose to download them all or just the ones you enjoy.

Another free game is now available on Steam! Called Nocturnal Quest: An Idle RPG Adventure, you can add it to your library simply by claiming it. Once claimed, it’s yours to download and play whenever you like. As an idle RPG, it continues to progress even when you’re not actively playing.

Steam Dropped A New Fantasy RPG You Can Play Free Now

Nocturnal Quest Is A Semi-Idle Game

Unlike the completely hands-off game Bongo Cat, Nocturnal Quest requires some player input. It’s a “semi-idle adventure RPG” where you create teams with access to hundreds of spells and abilities. You can choose from six classes and twelve specializations, and these teams can automatically farm for better equipment. This allows you to progress through an endless number of levels, according to the game’s developer, Lunarade OÜ.

I’ve been following Nocturnal Quest: An Idle RPG Adventure since it first popped up as a free game on Steam in January, and I’m excited it officially launched on March 31st! What’s really cool is how it blends turn-based battles with some real-time elements, making the combat feel a lot more interesting. Plus, you can set your team to level up even when you’re not actively playing, which is perfect for me! Just a heads-up, the developers did use AI to create some of the art and sounds in the game.

Steam Always Has Something New And Free To Play

Pick A Freebie From A Variety Of Different Genres

If you’re not enjoying Nocturnal Quest – maybe you don’t like how it plays or that it uses AI-created content – don’t worry, there are plenty of other choices. Besides the eight free games we already mentioned, you can grab four more free titles on Steam right now.

You can also find some free items available to download until April 6th, though not everything is a game. Free content is always being added to the platform, and we at Ebaster regularly share news about new releases and hidden gems you might have missed. Make sure to follow our Steam coverage so you don’t miss out on your next favorite free game!
