During a special conversation with Digital Spy before the series launch five years back, Lindsay discussed how authentic and meticulous the drama seemed in its depiction of fraudulent activities.

She mentioned that incidents like these are quite common among ordinary individuals, yet they seldom appear on our screens, according to her statement.

As a fan, I’d put it like this: “I find it mind-blowing that such an extraordinary event could befall ordinary folks like us. You might just bump into any of us at work, in a store, or anywhere, really. That’s the surprising part.

In the series, the main actress skillfully portrayed the emotional journey of her character, encompassing all the hardships she endured.

The actor clarified that this female character, throughout her entire life, has consistently made the correct choices. She’s been a fantastic caregiver and mother, yet she’s faced immense challenges without any assistance. Despite believing that if she simply does everything correctly in her life, everything will turn out well, it unfortunately hasn’t been the case.

“So it’s literally just a tipping point. She’s had enough and she turns and it’s amazing how she finds the inner strength to do what she does, and the darkness of how far she’ll go.”

Cold Call aired on Channel 5 and is now on Netflix.
