Peter Kay makes HUGE announcement as he appears in a surprise advert during ITV’s I’m A Celeb launch show

After a much-missed hiatus, his comeback has been nothing short of remarkable. From canceling his long-awaited tour due to unforeseen family circumstances, to making a surprise appearance at Blackpool Opera House and now voicing the iconic Chief Inspector Macintosh in Wallace and Gromit’s Vengeance Most Fowl – it’s been an emotional rollercoaster for fans.

On the set of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, Peter Kay unexpectedly revealed details about his highly successful tour on Sunday.

During a popular ITV series, the comedian made an appearance in an advertisement, revealing that his one-person show would be prolonged with additional dates scheduled for the upcoming two years.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me share an intriguing sight I recently came across: in a recent advertisement, I found myself transporting a grand golden commode into my mom’s beloved bungalow – a nod to my 2002 tour titled “Mum Wants A Bungalow,” which featured a striking Freddie Mercury mural on the garage door.

A voice yelled over to Peter, ‘Is that Freddie Mercury?’ 

Peter replied: ‘Yeah she is obsessed with him’.

The fan asked: ‘Are you doing any more shows?’ 

‘I have no choice, she wants it all now,’ Peter yelled.

Peter has revealed a schedule with 21 new performance dates, starting in February 2025 and running until his show concludes in February 2026.

Peter Kay’s Live performance started in December 2022, and the fresh dates have him touring through 16 different cities throughout the span of a year.

In the years 2025 and 2026, the upcoming tour is scheduled to feature his debut performances at Aberdeen’s P&J Live, Brighton Centre, Bournemouth International Center, and Villa Marina on the Isle of Man.

Peter has achieved record-breaking success on his tour, selling out an impressive 45 shows at London’s O2 Arena – a feat unmatched by any other artist globally.

The funnyman also performed a record 100 shows at the Manchester AO Arena – breaking all attendance and performance records. 

In his statement, Peter expressed that it has been a delight working on his favorite activity, which is stand-up comedy. He emphasized that laughter holds significant value during these difficult times and as the cost of living remains at a peak, tickets for the upcoming performances will begin at £35.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday November 23 at 10am.

After taking a break from acting, Peter is returning to television for a special Christmas appearance, marking the start of his comeback.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that my favorite comedian, who’s just made his grand comeback after a lengthy hiatus, is all set to grace our screens in the upcoming Wallace and Gromit film titled “Vengeance Most Fowl.” In this exciting new role, he will be portraying Chief Inspector Macintosh.

Fans of Wallace and Gromit couldn’t help but feel thrilled when the BBC unveiled a sneak peek of the much-awaited Christmas Special during the midday hours on Wednesday.

For the first time in 16 years, the cherished pair from your favorite cartoons will grace our screens once more during the holiday season, with a notorious villain set to reappear.

In the movie, Peter’s part arrives following a significant disappointment for fans in 2017, when he unexpectedly halted his eagerly anticipated return tour because of pressing family issues.

For about five years after the cancellation, the well-loved comedian from Bolton stepped back significantly from public attention.

During this period, much discussion and speculation arose among fans as to why Peter was absent. His social media platforms remained quiet too, until March 2018, when he reappeared to reveal plans for a charity screening of his show “Peter Kay’s Car Share”.

In my personal journey, I decided to take a break from the limelight for a whole year and found myself settling in the beautiful countryside of Tipperary, Ireland. Locals there have shared with me that I’ve been keeping a low profile, apparently intent on blending into the landscape rather than drawing attention to myself.

Back in the spring of 2019, I made a long-overdue return to the spotlight, surprising everyone with an unexpected attendance at a charity event. This special occasion was a screening of Car Share at Blackpool Opera House, which turned out to be a fantastic success, raising a remarkable £34,000 for The Lily Foundation. As a lifestyle enthusiast, I always strive to support worthwhile causes and make a positive impact in the lives of others.

The funnyman did make a short return to TV in April 2020 for BBC’s Big Night In Special, as part of a reworked version of his iconic music video for (Is This The Way To) Amarillo.

He then went onto perform two sold-out Dance For Life shows to raise money for Laura Nuttall, 21, who had an aggressive type of brain cancer called glioblastoma multiforme. She sadly died in May 2023.

In November 2022, Peter made the country joyful with his announcement that he was resuming live performances after a 12-year hiatus, which included a monthly stint at London’s O2 Arena.

Following his return to the spotlight, Peter is all geared up to enchant fans yet again by assuming a part in this year’s holiday-themed Wallace and Gromit movie.
