Yesterday marked the wedding day for the well-known accountant and Annika Martyn, a former Cricket WAG. Now, they’re hosting a get-together for their renowned friends who attended their wedding, which is essentially a party to celebrate their recovery or return.
Under a clear sky, an illustrious gathering of Australian sports and entertainment aristocracy mixed, their conversations filled with laughter and the sound of champagne flutes tinkling against one another.
At the event, Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine, along with Terry Biviano and Anthony Minichiello, were all present. Grant Hackett added to the festivities and Guy Sebastian even had a spin on the DJ equipment. Meanwhile, Richard Wilkins was seen cozying up to his new sweetheart nearby. Jade Yarbrough, Jasmine’s sister, shone brightly alongside her new boyfriend, affluent property developer Paul Gedoun.

Yet as Aperol Spritzes filled glasses and the music fueled the lively atmosphere, a particular name echoed quietly among the crowd: Michael Clarke.
In the heart of the gathering, I keenly felt the void left by my cherished cricket idol and former companion. His absence loomed large, tinting the otherwise radiant scene with a subtle melancholy.
Without a doubt, I can clarify his absence. It traces back to an occurrence approximately two years prior, not too distant from Bell’s grand residence.
The lengthy bond between Anthony and Michael started showing signs of tension following an incident involving retired Australian cricket captain, who was caught on camera arguing with his ex-girlfriend Jade outside a restaurant in Noosa, in January 2023.
In a video captured by a bystander, Jade emotionally confronted Michael, alleging that he had been unfaithful with his ex-girlfriend, fashion designer Pip Edwards, without informing her. Michael vehemently denied the accusations, swearing on his daughter’s life, and Karl – who is both Jade’s brother-in-law and a friend of Michael’s – attempted to intervene and prevent the argument from escalating further.
In my professional opinion, the PR fiasco that unfolded was a significant blow to ‘Pup’s’ reputation – one that he may struggle to recover from. It appears this event has not only strained but seemingly ended his friendship with both Karl and Anthony, who was also a business partner.
In March, it was made known to the public that the Clarke-Bell split occurred when Michael switched management firms. Around the same period, he also sold his portion of the $15 million yacht named Ghost, a vessel they had jointly owned since 2022.
After several months, Anthony issued a statement to the media, making it plain that the termination of their professional partnership was due to their personal disagreement.
2023 events significantly impacted my friendship with Michael, leading us to a point where maintaining a professional business relationship became unfeasible, as expressed by the financial expert.

Regardless of the falling out between him and Michael, it’s evident that Anthony maintains a strong relationship with Jade, the former girlfriend, as she was spotted at the gathering over the weekend.
Jade appeared joyful and at ease while enjoying the wedding festivities, accompanied by her affluent companion Paul Gedoun.
In August, it became known that Paul, who is believed to be in his late forties and has two kids from a prior relationship, started dating Jade.
They had a chat and shared a beverage, then later joined Jade’s sibling Jasmine and her spouse Karl, right on the sand.
Also in attendance was Richard Wilkins and his new girlfriend Mia Hawkswell.
The pair found it difficult to resist touching each other while engaging with other guests on the stunning terrace of the house.
Richard sported a fashionable navy-blue buttoned shirt paired with striped shorts, both coordinating perfectly. On the other hand, Mia donned a navy mini skirt and top, both items harmonizing in color.
Since May, their romantic involvement has been noticed by many, as they’ve been seen on numerous affectionate outings together.
They were also joined by Grant Hackett and his wife Sharlene Fletcher.
Sharlene showcased an elegant style, adorning herself in a floor-length, off-the-shoulder pink dress that boasted a ruffled detailing at the neckline.
She was spotted savoring a beverage alongside her Olympic swimmer spouse, both clad in coordinating white trousers and shirts.
2016 saw Grant gaining attention due to an incident where he consumed over half a bottle of gin prior to a public outburst. During this event, allegations were made against him for inappropriately touching another person’s nipple.
However, the past troubles appeared distant to him as he relished non-alcoholic drinks during the sunny afternoons on Sundays.
The party comes after Anthony and Annika tied the knot near Noosa on Saturday.
The wedding ceremony took place at Yandina Station, located on the Sunshine Coast, which is now a luxury countryside manor nestled within 14 acres of beautiful rural land. It offers breathtaking vistas of Mount Coolum. This property was once a working cattle ranch.
Following their wedding vows, Annika and Anthony delighted their guests with a festive reception held within the charming Dairy Barn at the venue.
One attendee shared with the Daily Telegraph that the event, both the ceremony and the reception, was truly heartwarming. The air seemed thick with affection in the venue.
Very few glimpses of the ceremony and reception have made it onto the couple’s social media so far.
Annika began the day by taking a ‘quick swim’ with her young daughter, Taylor, in the luxury accommodation and later showed off her enormous new sparkler.
She’s consistently sharing small glimpses on her Instagram Stories – from these, we’ve seen a touching photo of the wedding couple and their combined family.
Annika has a four-year-old daughter, Taylor, and a 16-year-old son, Ryder, with her former husband, the cricketer Damien Martin. (In this version, I’ve used “former” to imply that they are no longer married.)
Previously, accountant Bell was wedded to Kelly Landry, a renowned figure from Getaway. In December, Landry announced that she and Bell had decided to part ways after ten years of matrimony.
Landry and Bell share two daughters, Charlize, 11, and Thea, eight.
The kids of the duo coordinated their outfits with them; Ryder sported a stylish black-and-white suit, while Bell’s girls opted for elegant black mini dresses, complete with cream ribbons.
Annika selected a straightforward halter-style wedding dress, fastened at the neck, accompanied by an elaborate veil adorned with beads. Her little one donned a charming, cream-colored dress fashioned from the same material, complete with black ribbon bows.
The blushing bride also posted a video from her wild hens night earlier this week.
Initially in the video, Annika could be spotted having her friend style her hair, followed by a toast with her guests as they enjoyed some champagne together.
On that special event, she donned a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble characterized by a blue, white, and golden bustier and coordinating skirt, completing the look with stylish brown platform footwear.
Annika then put on a bridal veil and danced up a storm with her gal pals.
Afterward, the crowd watched as they all climbed aboard a compact watercraft for a leisurely voyage around Noosa. Later, they showcased their vocal talents during a lively karaoke session.
