If you’re loving Jessica Jones and excited about the new Daredevil: Born Again, you’re going to want to check this out! Krysten Ritter, who played Jessica, was also hilarious in a sitcom called Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23, and it’s now available to watch for free on Tubi. I stumbled upon it and I’m really enjoying it!
The show became available on the free streaming service on April 1st. It first appeared on ABC in 2012, starring Kate Ritter as Chloe, a fun-loving and carefree young woman enjoying life in New York City. Everything changes for her when she meets June Colburn (Dreama Walker), an innocent girl from Indiana who comes to the city to chase her ambitions.
Krysten Ritter Delivered an Unforgettable Performance in Don’t Trust the B
Krysten Ritter was incredibly funny as Chloe in both seasons of Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23, and her great rapport with the rest of the cast made the show really memorable. Along with Ritter and Dreama Walker, the series also featured Eric Andre, who played a comedic version of himself attempting to boost his acting career.
The series was a surprisingly popular success with critics. It has an 85% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, along with an 83% audience score, and its first season is officially ‘Certified Fresh’. Reviewers highlighted its quality, describing it as better than anticipated – particularly praising the cast and the show’s clever humor.
The sitcom was short-lived, lasting only two seasons and 26 episodes on ABC. It premiered mid-season and was cancelled without much fanfare.
Even though ABC decided to renew Don’t Trust The B in Apartment 23 for a second season, the network unexpectedly pulled it off the air in early 2013, leaving eight episodes unseen. These episodes were later made available online, offering fans a chance to see how the story ended.
Ritter Reprises Her Iconic Marvel Role in Daredevil: Born Again
Though the show Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 wasn’t a big success, Krysten Ritter has found success with another character. She’s reprising her role from the Netflix series Jessica Jones in Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again. The new season of Daredevil: Born Again premiered on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, and will consist of eight episodes airing through May 5, 2026.
With the start of the new season, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now in Phase Six, opening the door for Ritter’s character to appear in future Marvel movies and shows. A third season of Daredevil: Born Again is planned for September 2025, and Marvel is hoping to bring back more familiar faces – suggesting Ritter’s return might be the first of many.
Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 is now streaming for free on Tubi.
