As a lifestyle expert with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the power of fandom is truly astounding, and it’s evident in the case of Danny Jones from McFly. The noughties pop band’s influence is undeniable, as shown by the bookies’ odds for this year’s I’m A Celebrity.

He is the bookies’ favourite to be crowned this year’s King of the Jungle with the odds 2-1.

Danny Jones gleefully exclaimed, “That’s because McFly fans are amazing!

This year’s I’m A Celebrity competition seems likely to be won by the former noughties pop group member, as suggested by ITV insiders. His increasing popularity as a coach on their talent show, The Voice, is believed to have played a significant role in this prediction.

The star power that comes with being a member of McFly should not be underestimated with tried and tested magic to help Danny beat the likes of super WAG Coleen Rooney and N-Dubz’s Tulisa.

Danny was a part of the group that formed in 2003, joining forces with Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter, and Tom Fletcher. This group emerged following the separation of Busted, which they were previously members of.

And now, thanks to the loyalty of their huge fanbase who are now women in their late 20s and early 30s are exactly the right demographic to vote for their jungle favourite.

An ITV source told TopMob: ‘Danny is a golden ticket of a signing for I’m A Celebrity.

‘His performance as a judge on The Voice has been nothing short of remarkable. People are extremely satisfied with his work, appreciating his exceptional mentoring skills and the inspiring aura he brings. Naturally, the audience adores him too.’

Indeed, there is already evidence. Dougie was crowned jungle king in 2011, while Tom’s wife, the influencer Giovanna Fletcher won in 2020.

In addition, Harry also clinched the title of Strictly Cone Dancing in 2011. According to behind-the-scenes sources at the BBC, his victory was overwhelming, with many praising the enthusiastic backing from McFly’s fan base.

2006 saw Matt Willis, the vocalist of Busted, emerge victorious on that show. Later, in 2013, McFly and Busted combined their talents to form a new band known as McBusted.

This year, if Danny wins the main show on ITV, it will be his third victory in a row. He’s already taken home the title for The Masked Singer and secured a position as a judge on The Voice.

‘I’m going for the Pep Guardiola,’ the father-of-one joked.

Given that Danny’s chances of winning I’m A Celebrity are currently 2-1, he exclaimed, “Go Jonsey!” upon discovering that the public was already rooting for him.

He jokingly added: ‘I would definitely put all of your mortgage on me.’

Following the highly successful stint of McBusted on various TV programs, Danny acknowledged that there was an increased level of expectation, yet he emphasized his determination to excel for his son, fellow campmates, and the audience.

McFly achieved global success, selling approximately 10 million records, with hits like “Five Colours in Her Hair” and “It’s All About You” being among their popular songs.

McFly, largely free of scandals except for Dougie’s short-lived rehab stay due to alcohol issues in 2018, has consistently offered their multigenerational fan base no reason to seek out other bands.

Indeed, fans have taken pleasure in witnessing their journey from youth to parenthood, a chapter they share openly on social platforms and through profitable ventures.

Harry runs alongside his son, while Dougie collaborates on children’s literature with Tom and Giovanna. Additionally, the pair often post entertaining chicken videos, bringing joy to their followers.

Simultaneously, Danny’s passion for Soccer Aid significantly expanded his online persona and even seeped into his daily life with his six-year-old son, Cooper. Together they watched as Danny was unmasked as Piranha on this year’s edition of The Masked Singer.

Viewers shouted “Remove your mask!” and Cooper eagerly recognized his father. Overwhelmed with joy, Cooper leaped from the couch and embraced Danny, exclaiming, “It’s you, Dad! I can’t believe it’s really you!

Thousands watched the touching moment which has since gone viral online.

Admirers appreciate how McFly’s growth as a band remains pure and admirable compared to other groups that have fallen into scandal. Despite the perils that often come with early fame, McFly has managed to thrive through it all.
