Giovanni Pernice WILL appear on Strictly Come Dancing 20th anniversary special despite Amanda Abbington's pleas

As a dedicated Strictly Come Dancing fan with years of watching and cheering for my favorite dancers, I am overjoyed to hear that Giovanni Pernice will be back on our screens next month! Despite the unfortunate allegations made by his former dance partner, it’s clear that Strictly’s bosses recognize the immense impact he has had on the show.

In my role as a lifestyle guide, I found myself departing from the popular show, Strictly Come Dancing, following a string of accusations concerning bullying that had previously been levied against me by my previous dance partner, Amanda Abbington. These claims were quite serious and ultimately led to my exit from the program.

However, enthusiasts will be delighted to discover that Giovanni Pernice is set to return to the BBC One dance program next month, against all odds as Ms Abbington tried to have him removed from it.

According to The Mail on Sunday’s disclosure, contrary to speculations that he would be forgotten, Mr. Pernice will instead be honored as one of the notable personalities featured in the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing’s 20th anniversary special.

It’s rather uncommon for Ms. Abbington, aged 52, to show up, as a source close to Strictly mentioned, since she was among approximately 250 celebrities who have participated in the past, and she decided to leave before the conclusion of her involvement.

The management strongly emphasized that Mr. Pernice should have the leading part in the upcoming episode, airing on December 21st, as he had won a BAFTA for its Must-See Moment – his powerful silent dance with deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis to Clean Bandit’s Symphony in 2021.

The moment was seen by more than ten million viewers and received 2.1 million views on YouTube.

It’s possible that his look might facilitate his comeback as a dance professional on the show by the beginning of next year. However, it’s known that Ms. Abbington opposes this prospect.

According to a source within the BBC, considering how significant his contributions have been, especially with his BAFTA win, which was chosen by the public, it would seem quite narrow-minded not to incorporate Giovanni into the 20th-anniversary reflections in some way.

‘Johnny’s influence on Strictly has been tremendous, and it’s unlikely that his mark will ever fade from the annals of Strictly Come Dancing.’

Regardless of the accusations made by Amanda that have since been largely dismissed, the fact remains that what he and Rose accomplished together was truly extraordinary and unaltered by these events.

Strictly’s superiors have a strong affection for Gio, they believe the situation demands recognition, and thus, they feel it is appropriate to celebrate him.

It’s possible that Amanda had a conversation with the BBC not long ago, expressing her opinions regarding Giovanni and the show. However, Strictly Come Dancing remains fond of Gio, and its management is confident that fans will be delighted to witness his return on the show.

Despite BBC producers working on finalizing the show, it seems improbable that Mr. Pernice, aged 34, will be able to tune in, given his assertion that he did not engage in bullying behavior towards Ms. Abbington.

Tonight, he’s scheduled to perform in the final round of Dancing with the Stars Italy, the Italian counterpart of Strictly, where he and his dance partner, Bianca Guaccero (aged 43), are heavily favored to emerge victorious.

Data from social media, gathered by The Mail on Sunday, indicates that the duo significantly surpass their competitors on all social media outlets.

On Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), they are receiving double the number of votes as the runner-up pair, and they have over a third more votes on Instagram.

Despite the ongoing investigation into bullying allegations against Ms Abbington, the BBC has granted the producers of Strictly Come Dancing (Ballando con le Stelle) permission to recruit Mr Pernice.

In September, the BBC found six out of Ms Abbington’s 17 complaints to be valid, while all the gravest accusations against the Sicilian were dismissed.
