Coleen Rooney is left SOAKED as she capsizes in a canoe with Dean McCullough in first I’m A Celeb trial
As a longtime viewer of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, I must say this year’s premiere has me more thrilled than ever! The disgusting cocktail challenge and the dramatic helicopter jump have set the stage for an unforgettable season. It seems like the celebrities are in for quite a ride, and as someone who’s watched countless episodes, I can confidently predict that they’ll need every ounce of resilience to survive.
Laughing and drenched, Coleen Rooney began her adventure on “I’m A Celebrity,” as she was spotted drifting in a lake following her selection of a canoe with a leak.
In tandem with a known fan of Wagatha Christie and Radio 1 disc jockey, Dean McCullough, the individual aged 39 has been engaged in a set of tasks over the last two days, all taking place in Australia.
As they make their way to the jungle, celebrities team up and compete in a race to reach the campsite first. The victorious duo is granted the title of camp leaders, which comes with privileges such as being excused from chores and enjoying plush sleeping arrangements.
In a surprising turn of events, Dean, aged 32, selected Colleen as his partner for the team activity. However, both were unwittingly assigned an old canoe with leaks that ultimately capsized during the trial. This left them bobbing in their life vests and splashing through water up to their waists while they hysterically laughed.
On Thursday, Ant and Dec gathered with Danny Jones from McFly, Jane Moore of Loose Women, Tulisa Contostavlos of NDubz, and Oti Mabuse from Strictly at a luxurious mansion worth a million dollars, where they discussed the ongoing leadership race.
Afterward, they were required to drink a smoothie made from a pig’s penis, followed by a helicopter ride covering approximately 670 km, culminating in a skydive at Byron Bay.
Simultaneously, Colleen put on a green jumpsuit at the beach to greet fellow campers: Barry McGuigan, popular TikTok personality GK Barry, soap opera actor Alan Halsall from Coronation Street, and television host Melvin Odoom from BBC.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I eagerly anticipated the grand event unfolding at Byron Bay. There, amidst the festivities, five renowned celebrities prepared for a thrilling skydiving descent. Once they landed gracefully on the golden sands, I seized the opportunity to mingle with these stars. After much deliberation, I chose one of the five beachside icons to partner up with, creating an unforgettable moment in the vibrant atmosphere of Byron Bay.
In this group selection, Tulisa chose Alan Halsall, Oti Mabuse selected Melvin Odoom, Dean opted for Colleen, Jane Moore went with GK Barry, and Danny Jones picked Barry McGuigan.
Together, each pair faced their initial tests in the leadership contest during the first stages, eventually winding up in the jungle prior to the airing of the next episode on Sunday.
It’s been unveiled that this coming Sunday’s episode of ITV will feature the contestants participating in the initial gruesome drinking task, starting just a few minutes into the show.
They needed to drink a mixed beverage containing pulverized bull testicles, fish eyes, and a garnish of some type of sour fruit prior to their sky-dive landing on the shore.
Dean, Tulisa, Danny, Jane, and Oti were spotted conversing with Ant and Dec at the million-dollar mansion in Queensland prior to receiving a glass apiece.
1 DJ from Radio 1, Dean, was spotted grimacing after catching a whiff of the unappetizing concoction he was about to serve to the celebrities who were then compelled to consume it.
Oti and Tulisa gripped the unsavory beverage, complete with a straw and an umbrella, as they positioned themselves near an empty vomit bucket.
After the challenge, Ant and Dec provided additional guidelines for their forthcoming task, prompting Tulisa, Danny, Oti, Jane, and Dean to dash from the house towards waiting helicopters, which they could be seen running towards across the estate.
Amidst the amicable exchanges, a small hitch occurred when Loose Women star Jane’s leap took an unexpected turn for the worse.
The ITV star, 62, ended up landing a quarter of a mile down the beach, landing on holiday makers.
She emerged unscathed, making her way towards the designated sports venue where she was comforted by her fellow team members upon arrival.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me share my excitement about this year’s Leaders’ Lodge. It offers not one, but two cozy beds, each equipped with premium mattresses. You’ll find shelter here from unexpected rain showers, and the luxury doesn’t stop there. The lodge is adorned with plush duvets and pillows that promise a warm and snug sleep environment for your jungle adventure.
This year, the leadership chair within our infamous camp underwent a change, now featuring two matching red, leather-bound chairs. These seats are reserved for the two co-leaders of the camp who work in unison, always side by side, governing and ensuring the camp operates smoothly and harmoniously.
Not only that, but also remember that just like in the jungle, the unexpected is to be expected among the campmates. There’s a secret turn of events waiting to surprise everyone, which, if it unfolds, will grant the camp chiefs unprecedented power and rewards beyond what they’ve ever had before.
The big reveal about the challenge happened on Wednesday, when Ant and Dec couldn’t help but show their enthusiasm by falling to the floor in awe as they beheld the jungle for the first time this year.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! starts this Sunday 17th November, on ITV1, STV and ITVX
