Roxy Jacenko reveals the shocking extreme measures she is taking to maintain her 15kg weight loss – after giving up Ozempic
As an ardent follower of Roxy Jacenko’s life and career, I must say her journey to maintain her goal weight is nothing short of inspiring! The woman’s determination and dedication are truly commendable. From her daily contrast therapy to her disciplined workout routine and diet regimen, she has shown that she means business.
Roxy Jacenko reached her goal weight of 51.9kg last month after shedding 15 kilograms.
And the PR Queen, 44, has now revealed exactly how she has managed to keep the weight off.
Roxy shared with Daily Mail Australia that she keeps her slender figure through a routine of contrast therapy, which consists of alternating between warm and cold water baths, every day from Monday to Friday.
This method is believed to help to improve blood circulation throughout your body.
Additionally, she spends 40 minutes daily inside an infrared sauna prior to her 45-minute treadmill session at a speed of 6 with undulating terrain, accompanied by light weight training exercises throughout.
Roxy also revealed she eats just one meal a day at dinner and it is focused on protein only.
As a dedicated wellness enthusiast, I’ve adopted an unconventional dining routine that might surprise you. Instead of the traditional morning and midday meals, I opt for a robust dinner at 7 pm every day. This evening repast is primarily protein-centric, complemented by a vibrant salad to keep things interesting.
Yesterday evening, I enjoyed a grilled squid salad with arugula, pears, and Parmesan. In case I crave something sweet, I keep dark chocolate-covered raisins handy.
In addition to her routine, Roxy takes an AG1 supplement each day, containing various vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and plant extracts, at breakfast time.
She mentioned that she consumes alcohol only during weekends when there’s a special event, and she usually sticks to no more than two drinks.
Roxy has shared her harrowing experience when she accidentally overdosed on Ozempic as part of her weight loss attempt, not long ago.
It came out that she had consumed four times the suggested dose, leading to intense vomiting and continuous shakes.
She shared that she found herself deeply invested in it, to the point where she had to unbutton her pants whenever sitting in a car due to this investment, as she discussed on The Lazy CEO Podcast with Jane Lu.
‘I bought it, I tried it. I took four times the amount in the first go.’
Roxy went on to express that she’s tired of individuals who claim they aren’t using Ozempic. Emphatically, she declared, “On my platform, I always tell it like it is, and I don’t worry about what others think.
In addition, she had earlier expressed that she believed she might have passed away after ingesting a single milligram of the diabetes medication, which was actually four times the dosage recommended by her physician.
As a seasoned lifestyle advisor, let me share a poignant experience: I’ve battled cancer and underwent radiotherapy – experiences I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Yet, nothing compares to the agony I felt when I took that particular drug. I shared this harrowing account with The Saturday Telegraph.
Initially, I felt fine for about 12 hours. However, during that same morning, I threw up four times, one of which was inside a rental vehicle, and I still managed to go to work.
Roxy disclosed that afterward, she experienced intense bouts of vomiting and continuous seizure-like convulsions. These symptoms led to a hospital stay at an overdose treatment center for a duration of three days.
She stated that she phoned for help, an ambulance wouldn’t arrive for an hour, but she feared she might not survive. Instead, she headed to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Since then, Roxy has issued a cautionary advice to anyone contemplating the usage of Hollywood’s newest swift weight loss medication.
She said using the drug was ‘pathetic’ and ‘silly’, and called for celebrities to stop lying about not using it to shed kilos.
There’s been quite a buzz in Hollywood about Ozempic, with celebrities either openly discussing their use of the diabetes medication for weight loss purposes, or vehemently refuting such claims.
Semaglutide, a drug used to manage type 2 diabetes, can be found under the brand names Ozempic and Rybelsus in the market. This medication is primarily utilized for treating this specific form of diabetes.
Additionally, it’s marketed under the brand name Wegovy as a long-term weight management solution for people struggling with obesity.
The medications function similarly to a hormone within the brain, inducing a sensation of reduced hunger and prolonging the emptying of food from the stomach, thus promoting weight reduction.
These medications, namely Ozempic and Wegovy, have seen a significant increase in use after they were shown to assist in weight reduction, making them widely recognized.
