Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 ending, explained, and how it sets up part 3
As a die-hard fan of Karate Kid and Cobra Kai, I must say that this latest season has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! The Sekai Taikai tournament was shaping up to be the epic showdown we’ve all been waiting for, but then, wham! The unexpected death of Kwon left us all stunned.
Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 is now streaming on Netflix. There are five new episodes of the hit Netflix original series for fans to watch. I binge-watched all five episodes of part 2, and I have to talk about the Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 ending.
Man, I can’t remember a more mind-blowing Cobra Kai episode ending than this one. It was crazier than the season 2 finale when Robby came close to taking out Miguel. Absolutely wild!
Spoilers ahead for the ending of Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 episode 10, “Eunjangdo.”
Tory and Kwon make the Sekai Taikai semifinals
As a dedicated Cobra Kai fan, I can’t contain my excitement as we kick off season 6 episode 10! The Sekai Taikai has been packed with electrifying battles, but now we’re moving towards the finals. Robby, our Cobra Kai representative, knocked out Kwon (Brandon H. Lee) to make it to the semis. Unfortunately, Tory (Peyton List) had to bow out from the competition for Cobra Kai, leaving them out of contention. But fear not! Robby and Samantha (Mary Mouser) are still in the game, both advancing to the semifinals in their respective brackets. The action is heating up, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
In an unexpected turn of events, right as Kreese is about to commit a heinous act against Terry Silver, there’s an urgent assembly summoned. It seems Sensei Ivanov and his dojo have been expelled from the competition following a positive drug test for performance-boosting substances. Consequently, Tory and Kwon step in to fill the spots vacated by the disqualified semifinalists. Remarkably, it’s Sam, one of her longtime friends and past adversaries, who Tory faces off against in the upcoming semifinals.
Man, things have taken a tough twist, but I’m all geared up for the climactic showdown between Sam and Tory. And honestly, I can’t wait to witness another round between Robby and Kwon. There’s definitely unresolved tension between them.
A massive brawl breaks out during the Robby’s semifinal match against Axel
Regrettably, Tory and Sam won’t square off during the semifinals due to a vicious fight erupting between Robby and Axel in their match. In the third bout, Kwon and Zara progressed to the finals. Robby was struggling against Axel but holding his ground. However, Axel shoved Robby out of the ring, and Kwon took advantage by cheap-shotting him. Miguel and the Miyago-Do fighters witnessed this act and rushed onto the mat. Miguel got into a scuffle with Axel, leading to Gunther and the Sekai Taikai officials intervening and clearing everyone off the mat. Moments later, Sensei Ivanov, still upset over his disqualification, unexpectedly struck Gunther and knocked him out.
Afterward, an epic brawl unfolds that surpasses any fight in this series so far. The tension from the dojos explodes, leading to chaotic scenes where competitors vent their weeks’ worth of drama on one another. The chaos is indescribable! Not only are rival dojos at odds, but even Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do temporarily put aside their differences to challenge some of the other dojos together. It’s an unpredictable spectacle!
In the scene, Johnny (William Zabka) and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) confront Wolf (Lewis Tan). At this point, Kreese decides to act. He exits the fight with Silver, intending to kill him. However, upon arrival at the destination, he discovers that his knife has been knocked from his grasp.
In a surprising turn of events, Kreese and Silver engage in combat, but just as it seems Silver is moments away from delivering the decisive blow, Johnny intervenes to protect his former mentor, Kreese. This act signifies that Johnny has come to terms with their past, a recurring motif that’s been significant throughout the last six seasons for him.
Unfortunately, his personal growth is interrupted by a major death.
Kwon dies while fighting Axel
Following a defeat at the hands of Axel after engaging in a fight with Robby and Sam, Kwon discovers Kreese’s knife on the floor. He decides to employ it against Axel with the intention of ending his life. In turn, they both attempt kicks, but Axel successfully deflects Kwon’s, causing him to fall onto the mat and remain motionless.
The knife he planned to use is lodged in his chest, and Kwon bleeds out on the mat, dead.
I guess we don’t know who wins the Sekai Taikai after all.
What to expect in Cobra Kai season 6 part 3
Wow, talk about a jaw-dropping turn of events in Cobra Kai! Honestly, I didn’t see that coming at all, especially given the time and effort poured into preparing for the Sekai Taikai finals. I was fully expecting to witness it all unfold in part 2 of season 6.
It seems we’re unsure about what lies ahead in Cobra Kai season 6 part 3 as it appears we’re venturing into unknown territories. I suspect they might not wrap up the Sekai Taikai tournament since Robby and Axel would need to continue their battle to reach the finals, but with Kwon now deceased, it’s unclear who would be in the finals instead.
From the girls’ side, it appears Sam and Tory may clash once more, yet it seems unlikely they were eager for this confrontation originally. Given their past encounters, it feels as though they’ve had enough fights already.
As an ardent follower, I can’t help but feel intrigued by what unfolds next in this intense competition. With so much anticipation leading up to this point, it would be a shame if we didn’t get to learn who ultimately emerges victorious. Of course, my curiosity doesn’t diminish the recent tragic loss one of the competitors has suffered. I just can’t help but wonder about where the narrative takes us from here.
It appears that in the final five episodes, it seems as though we will witness a shift towards setting aside longstanding rivalries. These conflicts have persisted for almost four decades for certain characters, with others having them even longer. Tory queried Kim (Alicia Hannah-Kim) about whether all the struggles to excel in karate were justified, and she responded affirmatively. However, it’s evident that her answer is not truthful.
In other words, Johnny and Daniel seem likely to move past their past disagreements in Cobra Kai season 6 part 3. Regardless of the path we take, that’s the resolution we’re aiming for.
Wow, the latest installment of Cobra Kai’s season 6, part 2 is nothing short of amazing! As a devoted fan, I can’t help but be captivated by this enthralling final chapter.
Now, we’ll have to wait until 2025 until we see the last five episodes of Cobra Kai season 6.
