As I delve into the lives of these extraordinary individuals, I am continually astounded by their unique experiences and accomplishments. One cannot help but admire the resilience and grace exhibited by Countess Mountbatten of Burra, who faced adversity with a stoicism that is truly “old school”.

From the time she was discovered at a New York airport when she was 14 years old, Kate Moss has had a highly successful modeling career.

Even with her ongoing triumphs, the renowned fashion figure hailing from Croydon, south London, still carries the psychological wounds inflicted by being compelled to bare all for a cover shoot of The Face magazine, which was snapped by the late Corinne Day back in 1990.

Moss, aged 50, admits she wept profusely following the incident where she had to disrobe in front of Day. She clearly wasn’t comfortable with the situation.

She shares: “Back then, the group consisted of myself (Corinne), Drew Jarett, the hairdresser, and Dick Page, the make-up artist. Since Drew was straight, I would ask him to face away from me because I felt uncomfortable with him looking at me due to my shyness.

At the age of fifteen, an image of me bare-chested appeared in a magazine while I was still attending school. Fortunately, The Face magazine wasn’t distributed in Croydon, which suggests that not many people may have actually seen it. However, some did hear rumors about it.

In one photo, moss is visible without any covering, shielding her privacy with her hands and a sun hat. In another image, she’s depicted bare-chested, adorned with a feathered headdress instead.

In her conversation with Bella Freud on the Fashion Neurosis podcast, she shared that from an early age, she began creating art without clothing on top, and she was acutely aware of a mole on her right shoulder. She detested it so deeply that it would bring her to tears.

In a more comfortable phrasing: “I strongly disliked the idea of posing topless. I protested, but I eventually had to comply because the photographer threatened to not hire me for future projects if I didn’t.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself immensely proud to share that my own daughter, Lila, aged 22, has chosen the world of modeling, mirroring my own path. Now, she’s a part of an agency that calls her its very own.

Although working with Day on set is a painful reminder for Moss due to his passing from a brain tumor in 2010, she acknowledges that the fashion industry has been a source of strength for her during challenging times.

She hinted at the criticism she faced in 2005 following the release of photos that a newspaper suggested depicted her inhaling drugs during a performance by her then-boyfriend, Pete Doherty, at his studio.

Known as ‘Cocaine Kate’, Moss was stripped of her £1 million deal with the popular retailer H&M and sought treatment at a rehabilitation facility.

In my own words, when a minor controversy arose, I was astonished by the outpouring of support I received from colleagues in the fashion industry. Once I regained my footing and returned to work, it seemed like everyone wanted to collaborate with me. They communicated a clear message: ‘We refuse to let anyone silence you.’

Gary Lineker’s new venture

It seems that Gary Lineker is reducing his professional commitments, as the former host of BBC’s Match Of The Day has chosen to place his production company, Goalhanger Films, into voluntary bankruptcy.

Last month, Lineker and his co-owner Anthony Pastor decided to close their business, and they submitted the necessary paperwork to Companies House just yesterday. As of 2022, the company had accumulated £422,100 in earnings that were set aside for future use.

St Paul’s VAT ploy

Intrigued to know about the happenings at St. Paul’s, the prestigious London institution with an annual boarding fee of approximately £47,000? That sounds like quite the topic!

According to reports, this prestigious school, known for its exceptional academic achievements, cleverly used hardships to its advantage by recovering £30 million in VAT from the taxpayer. This was made possible due to a budget change that imposed tax on school fees. In recent years, St Paul’s has spent £114 million on a renovation project, which kick-started their ‘renewal campaign’. However, when asked if it has now spent a total of £150 million and is eligible for a £30 million VAT refund, the school declined to comment.

Philip’s confidante meets the new Duke

Despite not being a member of the aristocracy at birth, Countess Mountbatten of Burma has consistently shown the resilience associated with traditional nobility, particularly during the time when her husband, Norton Knatchbull, left her for Genie McWeeney, widow of baronet Sir Nicholas Nuttall, in 2010. However, he returned four years later.

This week, Penny, affectionately known among friends, had the honor of receiving the Duke of Edinburgh in Hampshire. Her relationship with the late Duke, her equestrian partner Prince Philip, was described by Natascha McElhone, who portrays the Countess in The Crown, as a remarkably strong friendship.

Which clothes would you prefer for the airport: a favorite pair of denim pants, or possibly some cozy athletic pants instead?

Poppy Delevingne, by contrast, prefers to travel in style.

On Wednesday evening, the 38-year-old individual was observed at a departure terminal in Saudi Arabia, still adorning the ornate dress she had donned for Elie Saab’s fashion event earlier in the day.

Designer-made dresses with similar styles retail for over five thousand pounds each. Given that Poppy is dating billionaire Archie Keswick, it’s reasonable to expect he could maintain her lifestyle as she’s used to.
