Marvel unveils Agatha All Along deleted scenes (and fans aren’t happy)
As a dedicated Marvel fan with years of binge-watching superhero shows and movies under my belt, I must say that “Agatha All Along” has been an absolute delight this season. The show truly lived up to its hype, serving as a refreshing addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney Plus.
Agatha All Along stands out among this year’s television successes. Unlike Disney Plus’ usual practice of releasing shows throughout the year, this one was particularly noteworthy as it debuted during the Fall TV season, providing an enjoyable lead-up to Halloween. Marvel Television truly excelled with this production, and showrunner Jac Schaeffer delivered a series that felt authentically like a television program (rather than simply a six-part movie).
One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series significantly contributed to attracting approximately 4.4 million new subscribers to Disney Plus, demonstrating exceptional success on a relatively small budget. The show was highly praised by both fans and critics, often being ranked among Marvel’s top three series so far (alongside WandaVision and Loki).
After two weeks since the show ended, viewers have found something to criticize. The positive aspect is that it’s an issue many TV shows encounter, as it’s been verified that several scenes were left out – scenes which fans are eagerly anticipating.
Marvel reveals sneak peek at intimate Agatha All Along deleted scenes
Marvel Studios recently unveiled the latest installment of their Assembled series, this time highlighting The Creation of Agatha All Along. While fans eagerly anticipated its release, they were taken aback slightly as it was unexpectedly announced and premiered on the Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel rather than Disney Plus. Regardless, they were more than prepared for it, looking forward to it with great excitement.
Every time I tune in, there’s always something exciting to look forward to! New interviews with the cast and crew, behind-the-scenes footage, concept art, and plenty of scenes that were initially planned but ultimately got cut from the final version of the series. These hidden gems include some heartfelt moments between the couples in the show. For instance, an alternative scene from episode 8 featuring Agatha Harkness and Rio Vidal (otherwise known as Death) sharing a more intense embrace on set, which didn’t make it into the actual episode. Additionally, there’s a new, tender kiss between Billy Maximoff and his boyfriend Eddie that was left out of the show as well.

It appears that the scene where Billy and Eddie are seen sharing an intimate moment might have been either an additional take for their initial encounter in episode 6 titled “Familiar By Thy Side”, or it could be a cut scene taking place after their meeting with Ralph Bohner. However, it’s important to note that they did share a kiss in the same episode, albeit a less passionate one. The subsequent scene, post the three-year time jump, showcased a more intense and emotional kiss between them, which was significant as it allowed Billy to disclose his ability to hear thoughts during intense moments, thereby advancing the plot.
Despite this, viewers expressed displeasure over the omission of the softer kiss scene from the episode. Similarly, they weren’t pleased that the interaction between Agatha and Rio in episode 8 didn’t materialize as planned.
Fans of Agathario felt that the TV series could have included more scenes exploring the relationship between the two characters, delving into their past and showing how they fell in love. Even small glimpses of shared moments sparked excitement among viewers, leading them to ask Marvel Studios to release an extended version featuring their romantic scene.

Given they shot several takes per scene and improvised certain dialogues, it’s no wonder that some clips didn’t make it into the final cut, as a single scene cannot be included more than once in the final project.
From the additional recording of Assembled, it becomes apparent that Billy expresses his desire to collaborate with “Detective Agatha” to Agatha (in her Agnes phase). He portrays himself as a cooperative and codependent individual. The scene as presented in the series showcases a humorous dialogue between Billy and Agatha, where she teases him by asking if he intends to provoke “the bear”.
In the world of television and film production, it’s common for extra scenes to be cut out, and this also applies to the series Agatha All Along. It’s not unexpected that some filmed footage didn’t make it into the final product. Fingers crossed, Marvel Television might share these unused scenes with the public someday, possibly as bonus features on a future 4K UHD release. Given that fans are now aware these scenes exist, there’s little doubt they would be eager to watch them in their entirety.
