Fan-favorite character to return for Scary Movie 6, dropping big hint about the plot

As a seasoned gamer and ardent fan of horror-comedy films, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Scary Movie 6! The return of Dave Sheridan as Officer Doofy and the confirmation that Ghostface will be part of the new film is music to my ears.

As we eagerly anticipate whether Anna Faris and Regina Hall might reappear in the newly announced Scary Movie 6, it’s been confirmed that one beloved character from the Scary Movie series will make a comeback for the next installment. Dave Sheridan, famous for his role as Officer Doofy (inspired by Dewey Riley from Scream) in the original 2000 film, has revealed that Ghostface is set to return.

Josh Ludemann (@Crazydog500) on YouTube shared an extensive video featuring conversations with Sheridan, delving into various props from the initial parody movie. Throughout the discussion, Sheridan offers intriguing insights about the mask and other props/costumes, revealing several captivating behind-the-scenes tidbits.

Instead of watching the whole video, feel free to jump directly to the segment discussing “Scary Movie 6” as it starts approximately at the 17-minute mark, located within the video provided below.

Sheridan states with absolute assurance that Ghostface will feature in the upcoming movie, implying the plot direction of Scary Movie 6. Later in the video, he and Ludemann also reference Scream (2022) and Scream VI explicitly. It seems the script being developed by the Wayans brothers for this film has been under development for some time now, with them currently refining it and infusing their unique brand of humor.

Previously, it had been revealed that Marlon Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Shawn Wayans will all return to this film for the first time working on the series since the release of “Scary Movie 4” back in 2006.

In the video, Sheridan talks about the aged Ghostface mask from Scream VI, the film by directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, suggesting they might opt to use the original mask from Scary Movie, make it appear old, and utilize it for a humorous take on Scream VI.

Previously, Marlon Wayans hinted at the comeback of Ghostface through an Instagram post that announced the film.
