This Week in Star Wars Comics: Ewoks invade the week!

As a seasoned Star Wars gamer with memories of watching “Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure” etched into my childhood, I must say this week in Star Wars Comics has hit a nostalgic nerve for me! The battle for Endor and Bright Tree Village in “Ewoks #2” is a thrilling ride that harkens back to the simple yet captivating stories of our furry friends from Endor. The inclusion of 4-LOM and Zuckuss adds a touch of the dark side, making it a must-read for any Star Wars fan.

This Week in Star Wars Comics is all about Ewoks!

Meanwhile, the bounty hunters 4-LOM and Zuckuss intrude in search of Imperial weapons, potentially hardening their stance against offworlders forever. However, Wicket and Meedro, a warrior, aim to persuade their people that there are kind individuals out there. But who is the Red Ghost? She seems to be significant in this tale, but her role isn’t specified here. The comic book is written by Steve Orlando, with artwork by Álvaro López, Laura Braga, and Antonio Fabela, and Pete Woods provides the cover art.

As a nod to the sentimental feelings evoked during this month, it’s also the anniversary of “The Star Wars Holiday Special.” That’s why this trade paperback featuring comics from the “Droids” and “Ewoks,” part of Star Wars Legends, is particularly relevant! This connection to “The Holiday Special” comes through the Boba Fett cartoon produced by Nelvana in the special. It was this animation that eventually led to Lucasfilm Animation, Star Wars TV as we know it today, and the creation of our beloved series (for more details, check out this article!).
