Joey Essex, 34, flirts with Real Housewives Of New York star Luann de Lesseps, 59, on live TV before ‘exchanging numbers’ after she invited him to watch her cabaret show
As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that age is just a number when it comes to love, and Joey Essex seems to have found a spark in the vibrant and charismatic Luann de Lesseps. The former TOWIE star, now based in Los Angeles, has certainly caught the eye of the Real Housewives of New York star, who is 25 years his senior.
On live television, Joey Essex exhibited a noticeably affectionate behavior towards Luann de Lesseps, a cast member from Real Housewives of New York City, who is two and a half decades older than him.
Previously a star on “The Only Way Is Essex,” aged 34, who made an appearance on “Love Island” earlier this year and now resides in Los Angeles, attended the live studio audience of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.” There, he watched as Andy interviewed Luann, who is 59 years old.
During Luann’s interview, Andy, the host, highlighted Joey sitting in the audience and shared with her that he is currently unattached, following Luann’s disclosure about her being ‘in a relationship’.
The television personality seemed very fond of Joey and asked him to join for her cabaret performance later. Following the conclusion of filming, it’s said that they swapped contact information.
During the interview, Andy mentioned that our mutual acquaintance Joey from Love Island is present in the audience. In fact, before the show started, he inquired about you, and as it happens, he’s currently unattached.
The host then suggested Luann meet up with Joey after the show.
Luann asked: ‘Oh, the afterparty? Oh, twist my arm’.
According to a source, after the end of the show, Luann and Joey swapped contact details, and subsequently started following one another on Instagram.
Following playful head nods during the performance and motivating words from Andy, she expressed her wish that he would attend the show.

Joey parted ways with Love Island’s Jessy Potts, who is 25 years old, in September, making him single for the first time since they exited the villa together about seven weeks earlier.
Meanwhile, for a span of 16 years, Luann was wedded to French Count Alexandre de Lesseps. However, their marriage ended in the year 2009 when they chose to part ways.
In 2016, the television personality got married to Tom D’Agostino Jr., consequently relinquishing her ‘countess’ title.
But just a year later, Luann announced they were getting divorced.
Joey’s recent display of affection follows his playful conversation with the TV host last month, during which he declared himself as a potential husband.
Joey appeared on US television network KTLA alongside host Jasmine Simpkins and a panel who jokingly proposed that he remove his clothing during the interview.
‘I’m so excited to be here, you all look beautiful by the way,’ he said after being introduced.
‘Can you just keep talking we love your accent?’ the panel teased back.
In a conversation about Joey’s attire, Jasmine shared that she assisted him in selecting his outfit for the performance, which included a mohair cardigan.
The girls playfully hinted, “Perhaps we’ll ask you to remove it a bit later,” as Joey embarrassedly chuckled.
