Efuse announces “Rivalry Series” return with Progressive Insurance® as Title Sponsor

As a seasoned gamer with roots deeply embedded in college football fandom, I can’t help but feel the excitement coursing through my veins as the Rivalry Series returns! After a brief hiatus, eFuse has announced an exhilarating lineup of intense college rivalries, and Progressive Insurance® is stepping up as the title sponsor.

The Rivalry Series is back, featuring three showdowns from College Football’s Top 25, with Progressive Insurance® serving as the main sponsor.

After a break of one year following the initial Rivalry Series contest between Ohio State and Michigan in Fortnite, efuse has revealed that the Rivalry Series is coming back with three fierce college rivalries ready to compete.

Progressive Insurance® has become part of the series as the title sponsor, playing a role in showcasing the clashes between Louisiana State University (LSU) and Alabama, the University of Texas at Austin (Texas) versus Texas A&M, and another round between The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan.

What is the Rivalry Series?

As a passionate gamer and an ardent supporter of my college’s sports team, I can’t help but get excited about the Rivalry Series. This unique series, crafted by efuse, shines a spotlight on the fiery rivalries that ignite between colleges in the world of sports. But here’s the twist – it transfers these intense rivalries into the dynamic realm of esports! So whether you’re a current student-athlete, an alumnus with pride swelling in your heart, or a dedicated fan like me, you can immerse yourself in head-to-head matchups that truly capture the spirit of our beloved institutions.

As a passionate gamer, I’d say that college rivalries are all about raw, unadulterated enthusiasm, and this series perfectly encapsulates every bit of that excitement. For the very first time, the Rivalry Series now proudly bears the name of our new title sponsor, Progressive Insurance®.

Accompanied by Progressive, we are thrilled to elevate the Rivalry Series, transforming these legendary encounters into an extraordinary gaming event,” expressed Intrater.

This year, instead of simply replicating the excitement of game day, we’re taking it to a whole new level by blending athletes, alumni, and influencers to craft an experience that’s nothing short of extraordinary. Fans who loved our viral 2022 series will be astounded – this is the pinnacle of sports and gaming fusion!

Who is playing?

The Rivalry Series, comprising twelve representatives from each school, is brimming with beloved social media personalities, present college football stars, and retired college champions who have made their mark in the NFL. Kicking off with LSU versus Alabama, this initial face-off will showcase a number of current college standouts, top professional players, and influential figures such as:

  • Odell Beckham Jr
  • Jahmyr Gibbs
  • Jalen Milroe
  • Ryan Williams
  • Kyren Lacy
  • HusKerrs
  • BeardedBlevins

In upcoming Xpsp articles and on Erena’s new social media platform (previously known as Twitter), you’ll find the complete participant lineup for every competition.

Three contests will showcase the debut of EA’s College Football ’25: each institution will send 12 participants – four popular figures, four student-athletes, and four alumni. Institutions will vie for a possible nine points, and the school amassing the highest score will be declared the Rivalry Series Winner!

Initially, influencers will participate in team events against other influencers representing their respective schools, aiming to be recognized as the most talented creator at each institution. The highest-scoring influencers from each school’s competition will then face off against each other in individual matches, with the victor earning a point for their school.

As a sports enthusiast, I can’t wait to see the upcoming inter-school competition! Each student athlete will be paired with an opponent from our rivals, and alumni will face off against their counterparts too. There will be a total of 8 such athletic matchups. The school that wins each duel will claim one point, making a possible total of eight points up for grabs in the athlete matches.
