As a long-time fan of CBeebies and a parent myself, I must say that the diverse lineup of celebrities reading bedtime stories on CBeebies Bedtime Stories is truly remarkable. From Dolly Parton to Tom Hiddleston, these stars bring a unique charm and energy to the stories they read, creating a magical atmosphere for both children and parents alike.

Paddy McGuinness has been named as the latest A-list star to read the CBeebies Bedtime Story.

51-year-old comedian will settle into the famous yellow chair for a reading of “The Stompysaurus” by Rachel Bright and Chris Chatterton.

As a lifestyle expert, I would say: In my experience, a delightful storybook for little ones navigates the journey of dealing with intense emotions and anger, offering comfort and understanding along the way.

Paddy, participating in the BBC Radio 2’s Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge for BBC Children in Need, expressed his gratitude by saying he feels privileged to narrate a story for the entire nation.

Paddy expressed: ‘It’s truly a privilege to narrate a CBeebies Bedtime Story; there’s something enchanting about sharing a tale as a team. Here’s hoping the little ones cherish cuddling up with their caregivers while watching it.’

‘The book I’m currently engaged with, titled “The Stompysaurus”, offers insights on how to find tranquility and calmness amidst feelings of being overloaded.’

For me, the focus will shift towards directing my energies as I embark on Radio 2’s massive cycling event for BBC Children in Need!

Paddy’s CBeebies Bedtime Story will air at 6.50pm on Friday 15 November, CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.

Last week, Olivia Colman concluded her bedtime story segment, following which the episode of Top Gear hosted by its presenter is scheduled to air.

In a simpler and more conversational manner, the 50-year-old actress took the time to read the beloved contemporary children’s book titled “The Gruffalo’s Child,” written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

The pictured book which was first published in 2004 follows on from 1999’s The Gruffalo.

The Gruffalo’s daughter disregards her father’s cautions and timidly steps out into the snow, daringly seeking the fearsome Big Mouse on her own.

Before the broadcast, Olivia shared her thoughts: “For years, I’ve cherished reading CBeebies Bedtime Stories with my kids. I was thrilled to get the chance to do one myself. I truly hope everyone enjoys it just as much as I did.

On October 18, the well-known artist Kylie Minogue, aged 56, took time to read ‘Goodnight Moon’ penned by the American author Margaret Wise Brown and beautifully illustrated by Clement Hurd.

In 1947, the tale unfolds with a small rabbit preparing for bedtime, gently bidding goodnight to each of its beloved items one at a time.

Regarding her participation with the program, Kylie expressed: “Reading ‘Goodnight Moon’ for the first time on CBeebies Bedtime Stories was truly delightful.

Just as the charming bunny from the story would bid a heartfelt ‘goodnight’ to each item in his cozy den, I too find it meaningful to express gratitude towards spaces I depart from, offering a sincere ‘thank you’ before I go. Sweet dreams, dear room!

This will be one of two stories that the Grammy-winning singer has lent her voice to for CBeebies.

Details of her second story are yet to be revealed.

Kylie is stepping into roles previously held by artists such as Billie Eilish, Meera Syal, and Ryan Reynolds, who have recently accepted similar projects.

Among the latest actors gracing our TV screen is Tom Hardy, who recently performed the reading of Matisse’s Enchanted Journey.

In September, Kylie announced a world tour and her upcoming 17th studio album Tension II.

The album is a sequel to 2023’s Tension – which received rave reviews from critics.

2025’s global tour will find her taking the stage in Australia, Asia, and the United Kingdom, and here’s what she had to say about it: “I can hardly contain my enthusiasm to unveil the TENSION TOUR 2025!

I’m eagerly looking forward to unveiling enchanting and exhilarating experiences with fans worldwide, as we mark the Tension era and beyond!

So far, it’s been quite the thrilling journey! But here’s the exciting part: Brace yourself as I say ‘Action,’ because there’s going to be plenty of Padaming ahead!

Tickets for the UK dates went on general sale at 10am Friday, September 27. Visit Kylie.com for more information on tickets for the Tension Tour.

In a bid to match the achievement of Tension, its sequel aspires to outperform every other album in the UK Top 20 collectively, reclaim the top spot on the charts for the ninth time for Kylie, and potentially earn her a second Grammy award.

The tour announcement follows news in June that the woman, known for her striking looks, has been writing a revealing autobiography.

As an utterly smitten admirer, I can’t help but share the electrifying news: I’m beyond thrilled to announce that Kylie, our beloved megastar, is penning her life story! The anticipation is palpable as we eagerly await the release of this explosive autobiography.

In a new book, the talented Australian performer who sings and acts is set to reveal insights into her 40-year journey in music, movies, and television.

According to The Sun, it’s stated that Kylie is currently finding it appropriate to revisit some past experiences, given that she’s reached the pinnacle of her celebrity status.

This year’s BRITs Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is planning to collaborate with a ghostwriter for their upcoming memoir, offering fans a glimpse into their personal relationships.

According to a source, Kylie has reached the peak of her career and finds it fitting to share her life story and revisit past moments by penning a book.

‘She’ll reveal some new anecdotes and stories and dig out some snaps from her archive.

She’ll discuss her work in music, television, and films, as well as her personal life. The end result is likely to spark fierce competition among publishers for the rights to it.

How the CBeebies Bedtime Story has become a must-do on the A-list promo trail: A look at the stars using the platform to promote their latest material

The popular bedtime story program, CBeebies Bedtime Story, has attracted several well-known celebrities eager to encourage the public’s reading habits.

It seems that another possible motivation for A-listers joining this platform might be found in its role as a fresh avenue for advertising their recent work, given that several celebrities who appear on the kids’ channel are utilizing it to showcase their latest projects.

In the midst of celebrities promoting their new albums, movies, or books through podcasts and television appearances, CBeebies has also been included in these promotional efforts.

Billie Eilish is one of the A-lists star to be read the CBeebies Bedtime Story.

On Friday at 6:50 PM, the young singer, who’s been busy promoting her third studio album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” since the beginning of the year, will be reading the book “This Moose Belongs to Me,” penned by author-illustrator Oliver Jeffers.

In May 2022, Harry Styles, aged 30, chose to delve into his debut children’s book during a show elsewhere.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I found it quite fitting that One Direction heartthrob, Harry Styles, read “In Every House, On Every Street” when its title mirrored the name of his third studio album, “Harry’s House,” which dropped around the same time as his charming guest spot on a popular kids’ program.

2022’s top-streamed pop album on Apple Music within its initial two hours of release was this one, as declared by the platform itself.

Previously of One Direction, Harry was radiating in a set of brown pajamas, comfortably seated on a large yellow armchair, greeting: “Hi, I’m Harry, welcome to my abode. I adore it here, I enjoy listening to music, reading, and spending time with friends.

Tonight’s bedtime tale unfolds in a dwelling brimming with affection and merriment. Entitled “In Every House, In Every Street,” this charming narrative is penned by Jess Hitchman, beautifully illustrated by Lili La Baleine.

Zayn Malik, 31, became the second member of One Direction to join the show.

While marketing his country-inspired fourth solo album titled “Room Under the Stair,” the artist also sang the lullaby “Music is Everything” for a recording.

He explained that he selected the book because his affection for Bob Marley, combined with the significance of music and reading in his role as a parent, influenced his decision.

Malik mentions that his ex-partner, the model Gigi Hadid, and he share their daughter Khai. He also reveals a sweet routine where he reads and sings to her before she goes to sleep each night.

Last month during a special edition of a children’s program at the Glastonbury Festival, the lead singer of Kasabian, Sergio (age 43), was seen reading.

Over the past weekend, I had the privilege of gracing the iconic Woodsies stage alongside my talented companions, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews, and Tim Carter. We delivered an unforgettable performance at this legendary festival.

At 6:50 PM, the 42-year-old Paloma Faith, who graced this year’s Glastonbury event as well, was found engrossed in “The Party Animals” by Alex Willmore.

In the year 2020, David Schwanner, famously known for his role in Friends, made an appearance on the show Bedtime Stories and narrated The Smeds and The Smoos.

Currently, David was immersed in the process of publicizing his forthcoming comedy series titled Intelligence, set to air on Sky. In this production, David assumes the role of a renegade, ambitious NSA agent, whose fictional workplace mirrors MI6 but is based in Cheltenham.

In the lead-up to Christmas in 2022, a star-studded cast, with Kate Winslet at the forefront, made an appearance on the show.

Actress from the movie Titanic has garnered multiple honors, such as an Oscar, a Grammy, two Prime-time Emmys, five British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), and five Golden Globes.

However she still jumped at the chance to appear on Bedtime Stories.

In a more straightforward phrasing, the book “Grumpycorn,” authored by Sarah McIntyre, narrates the tale of a unicorn yearning to pen the greatest story ever written, yet struggling to come up with fresh ideas.

One star who didn’t appear to be appearing on the show for promotional purposes was Tom Hardy.

Over the years, the popular actor from Hollywood has frequently appeared on a channel for kids, and created quite a commotion when he first appeared there in 2016.

Tom returned to screens to read I Am A Tiger by Karl Newson with illustrations by Ross Collins.

Kay Benbow, the controller at CBeebies, shared with The Guardian that he and her agents reached out to them, as he was eager to participate due to his children’s interest.

I’m incredibly thankful to him, as he significantly boosted the popularity of Bedtime Stories, attracting audiences who might not typically seek content on CBeebies.

‘Getting ready to share an enchanting tale titled “I Am A Tiger,” penned by Karl Newson and beautifully illustrated by Ross Collins. This isn’t just the story of a small mouse; it may surprise you in the end!’

Parents nationwide beamed with joy when Dolly Parton graced the screen of a well-liked BBC show back in 2017.

Dressed in a vibrant yellow biker jacket, the country music star snuggled up in a comfy armchair to read Louise Yates’s award-winning Dog Loves Books.

In 2018, Orlando Bloom sparked excitement among viewers when he appeared on the show, with some humorously stating they’d watch it even though they don’t have kids of their own.

In a casual, rephrased manner: The actor was spotted lounging on an overstuffed chair, his limbs spread wide, with his dog Mighty lying comfortably across his lap. This scene seemed to cause a slight blush among viewers as he told a steamy tale.

Instead of blazing his guitar solos under the bright lights with Foo Fighters, lead vocalist Dave Grohl traded it all for a tranquil evening at home as he narrated a bedtime story in 2021.

In January 2022, Reese Witherspoon made history as the first actress to win an Oscar who also appeared on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.

The actress shared an end-of-day narration of “Extraordinary” penned by Penny Harrison, where she eloquently recounted a touching story about uncovering extraordinary aspects within everyday occurrences.

In the course of my daily explorations, I often discover that being engrossed in life’s hustle can make us overlook the wonders that surround us. The familiar sights we encounter day by day might appear mundane, but if you pause for a moment and truly observe, you’ll uncover the extraordinary beauty hidden within our everyday world!

In 2021, Tom Hiddleston delightfully read a children’s book while surrounded by cuddly teddy bear characters during his appearance on the show.

In a cozy purple cable-knit sweater, the star from Loki found himself engrossed in the tale of Supertato, penned by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet.

He concluded his reading: ‘Wow that little pea caused a lot of mayhem. But luckily, Supertato was there to save the day! Now it’s time for you to go to sleep. Perhaps you’ll dream of mischievous villains of brave superheroes. Goodnight little peas.’

On Christmas Day in 2017, Eddie Redmayne received acclaim for his performance, as he shared screen time with Greg the dinosaur, helping to lull the country into slumber.

Known primarily for her Academy Award-winning roles in films like The Theory of Everything, The Danish Girl, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, she captivated audiences anew by reading the charming tale, If I Had a Dinosaur.
