Embarrassing moment ‘influencer’ Suzan Mutesi is caught reviewing her own book and giving it five stars on Amazon to boost sales

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest controversy surrounding Australian influencer Suzan Mutesi is both disappointing and unsurprising. It seems that she has been caught red-handed leaving a five-star review for her own book, Love Beyond 30s, in an attempt to boost sales. This is not only unethical but also lacks the authenticity that followers crave from influencers.

The well-known Australian blogger Suzan Mutesi was discovered writing a glowing review for her book, “Love Beyond 30s,” with the intention of increasing its popularity.

A 38-year-old individual, who has been under scrutiny for allegations such as purchasing Instagram followers and digitally inserting herself into private jets, was publicly called out by her rival, Jamie Azzopardi, in a string of harsh posts on Instagram, published late on Monday evening.

Under her real name, she labeled the book as a ‘powerful journey towards personal value,’ and asserted that her work struck a profound chord within her readers.

It claimed the fiction was a ‘must-read for anyone navigating their 30s with humour and heart.’ 

In this engaging storytelling, I found a remarkable reflection of dating experiences post-twenties, where the author masterfully portrays both triumphs and tribulations. The relatable episodes and profound instances made me chuckle, squirm with discomfort, and resonate wholeheartedly.

Apart from the accusations, Azzopardi claimed that Mutesi had orchestrated paparazzi shots during her date with the British actor David Walliams, which took place in Australia during the year 2022.

Suzan recently found herself back in the spotlight in July, following a new controversy involving edited photos she had posted online, showcasing a highly glamorized image of herself.

In a post on her Instagram Stories, the social figure based in Sydney showcased two pictures of herself strolling around the city, flaunting her style.

In awe, I couldn’t help but notice some peculiarities that hinted at editing in these images. The sidewalk tiles and drainage seemed to subtly contour around her form, suggesting an adjustment to perfection that only post-processing could achieve.

In addition, it seemed she had altered the contour of her hips, as the fringes on her flashy mini dress appeared distorted, suggesting a possible error in digital editing.

In one image, an edit turned it into a monochrome photograph, whereas another retained its original colors, yet signs of post-production adjustments were noticeable, such as the distorted backdrop.

In my line of work as a lifestyle expert, I’ve found myself embroiled in a discussion about digital editing tools, specifically Facetune, after a post of mine raised eyebrows and fueled suspicion that I may have given it a spin.

Previously, Suzan posted a picture displaying her toned physique from the gym, yet her skin seemed unusually flawless and shimmery.

However, the difference could be down to a number of reasons, such as lighting and angles.

Previously, Suzan mentioned to Daily Mail Australia that her iPhone is the reason behind all her Instagram photos, along with tools like FaceTune and Adobe Photoshop.

As a seasoned lifestyle enthusiast, I often find myself observing the bustling world of red carpet events. Occasionally, I’ve noticed that the primary photographers may forgo their lights, which can pose challenges when it comes to capturing diverse skin tones effectively, particularly those of women with darker complexions, as not all camera settings are tailored to accommodate these tones in low light conditions. This is a perspective I thought was worth sharing.

The ambiance can vary based on the room as well. At times, the illumination within the room may be subpar despite its attractive décor, with areas of shadow or darkness.

Suzan usually ensures that she sets her iPhone to ProRAW mode prior to letting someone photograph her from below angles.

Afterward, she edits those images using applications such as FaceTune and Photoshop on her mobile device to produce an improved, more polished version of her red-carpet snaps.

‘It helps when you have a good foundation obviously. If you don’t look amazing you’re not going to get the best shot,’ she joked.

In my professional opinion, when you notice the dramatic smoky eyes popping up frequently in someone’s Instagram posts, it might not be a result of a newfound obsession with that particular makeup style, but rather an unfortunate consequence of dim or poorly lit spaces.

She remarked that when using down lights, the effect is that they actually darken rather than brighten a person’s face, as observed in her professional red carpet photos.

“When I increase the brightness in that photo, it brings out the facial features, particularly the eyes. Alternatively, you can adjust the settings on PhotoTune to accentuate your eyes and subtly emphasize the eyeliner, giving a clearer view of the eye.

Susan frequently turns to FaceTune as her preferred editing tool, especially for improving event photos that suffer from dim lighting.

She mentioned that she occasionally uses the Photoshop application, but it’s crucial to ensure your photo has an appropriate backdrop before you start editing within it.

Setting things up prior to snapping a picture enhances your photography, as it’s not usually feasible to make major changes abruptly, unless of course, you’re simply playing around,” she explained.
