Jorge Guerricaechevarria is the screenwriter behind the new miniseries. In 2009 and 2021, he won the prestigious Goya award for his work on “Cell 211” and “Las Leyes de la Frontera,” respectively. He was also nominated for his work on “The Day of The Beast,” “La comunidad,” and “The Oxford Murders.” Guerricaechevarria’s distinguished career as a screenwriter can be traced back to 1993.

Along her journey in pursuit of answers, she enlists the aid of Richi (Fernando Valdivielse), a former police officer struggling with alcoholism and now working as a security professional.

In unison, they are probing into a string of enigmatic homicides that appear to adhere to a specific design: each victim has been incinerated, and accompanying every corpse is a doll resembling Curro, the mascot of Seville’s 1992 Expo (hence the title of this miniseries).
