Let’s dive straight right into Grave’s abilities, then.

TLDR

In player-versus-player scenarios, Grave functions as a B2 support character. She serves as a shield for higher-tier damage dealers (B3 nukers). Although her Pierce Damage enhancement might not be utilized in this game mode, her Attack Damage boost during bursts will undoubtedly be beneficial, and its worth is greater than what Mari or Blanc offer. Additionally, Grave’s ability to generate burst is comparable to Scarlet’s base Burst Generation.

In simpler terms, Grave can handle single targets quite well for damage output in PvP, but she falls short when it comes to the overall game meta due to her limitations. As a pure damage buffer B2, she lacks area-of-effect damage and sustainability, making her challenging to use effectively in PvP.

Step-by-step Analysis

Burst generation

Unlike other similar B2 characters such as Blanc, S.Rosanna, Crown, or Mari, Grave’s burst generation is actually useful, whereas theirs isn’t. Although it’s not extremely high, her burst generation is the same as Scarlet’s, but Scarlet can boost hers with her skill 2’s reflect damage. Despite this, Grave has a higher burst generation compared to standard SG characters like S.Anis or Guilty. This makes her compatible with more teams and allows you to use just one Clip RL and one Clip SG in a team to reach the minimum speed for a nuke team, which is 3RL speeds – a key requirement. This can also make it easier to create simpler 2RL teams if you intend to use Grave as a buffer for 2RL compositions.

Supporting Output and Comparisons

In simpler terms, Grave’s ease of use makes her an excellent choice in PvP, primarily because her Burst Skill is the key to her power. At level 10, this skill grants a 48.2% boost to attack damage, surpassing the damage reduction buffs provided by Blanc, S.Rosanna’s damage increase debuff, and Mari’s attack boost. As a supporting character for nukes, Grave outperforms most A-tier units in this role while also generating more Burst Power.

Her high single-target damage output is useful against fire-resistant tank characters like Noah, who are frequently employed to shield against nuclear attacks. Additionally, other fire-based Nikke characters such as Blanc and S.Sakura are often found in the P1 position, and a swift 2RL team can be employed to wear them down before they explode. However, her personal damage will have a more specialized application and may be challenging to utilize effectively. Primarily, she’ll continue to excel as a buffer or as a substitute for burst generation if units like Crown are too sluggish for the team.

Synergies and Weaknesses

In our previous discussions, it’s been made clear that Grave primarily excels in Nuke teams. Her role is to amplify the damage dealt by the B3 Nuker. This Attack Damage buff benefits all relevant nukers effectively. A typical team setup for her would be:

Here, it’s crucial to strive for a balance between the team’s resilience and swiftness so they can successfully execute a nuke. Aim for speeds of 3RL or quicker if possible. Below you’ll find some examples of teams that have achieved this balance effectively.

Her primary weaknesses lie with Scarlet and Jackal, who can be used against her team to trigger Burst Generation. She significantly strengthens Grave units, making Noah, Bay, Blanc, and Noise potentially challenging opponents for her. As a fire unit, she should be cautious of Emilia, a recent PvP meta character whose normal attacks can cause significant damage to her. In the current meta, she lacks self-sustain abilities for her team, which makes her less effective compared to other units in PvP. However, this is not necessarily a weakness but rather something she currently lacks to make her truly outstanding and relevant in PvP.

Impact on current meta

Tier List Rating: A

Grave provides no major improvement in the current meta. She is simply another option in the already stacked B2 buffer choices that Shift Up keeps trying to power-creep with every new B2 buffer that they release. She is more of a PvE focused unit than PvP.

Team Examples

Every team can serve both offensive and defensive roles, provided that a player has adequate resources available for other teams. Positioning plays a crucial role; make sure to replicate the positions as accurately as possible.

2RL Fast Nuke – The major threat

Scarlet,Grave,Centi,Rumani,Jackal
Vigor Cube,Quantum Cube,Quantum Cube,Quantum Cube,Quantum Cube

Variations

Scarlet replacements

Ein,Quency: Escape Queen,Sakura: Bloom in Summer

As a devoted enthusiast, I find myself needing to align four Level 7 Quantum Cubes on Centi, Rumani, Jackal, and Grave in order to boost our speed to 2RL. Failure to do so means we’ll only manage a 2.5RL pace instead.

2B

Requires 5 lvl7 quantum cubes to reach 2RL speed, otherwise the team will have 2.5RL speed

Cinderella,Rei Ayanami

Requires 3 lvl7 quantum cubes on Centi, Rumani and Jackal to have 2.5RL speed.

Maiden,Soda: Twinkling Bunny

As a gamer, I’d say: “Maiden is a unit that can deal some serious damage, but only when the enemy plays right into her hands by activating her skill 1. B.Soda can be used alongside her regardless. The best part? Neither Maiden nor B.Soda need those tricky quantum cubes.

Harran,Privaty: Unkind Maid

Smaller nuclear devices operate optimally when the synchronization level is below 241. The Maid Privacy system necessitates the use of a single Quantum Cube.

Rumani, Centi and Jackal replacements

Anis,Emilia

Note: Removing Jackal weakens team survivability.

3RL Nuke – The minor threat

Scarlet,Grave,Red Hood,Centi,Jackal
Vigor Cube,Quantum Cube,Vigor Cube,Quantum Cube,Quantum Cube

As a fan, I often find myself gravitating towards a straightforward nuke team composition. However, it’s worth noting that Scarlet can be swapped out with any of the B3 nukers mentioned earlier. In certain situations, you might consider switching Centi or Jackal with characters like Emilia, Anis, or Rumani. It’s best to keep Jackal in the team if possible.

Budget Meta Team Compositions

Grave,Scarlet,Rapunzel,Centi,Noir
Privaty: Unkind Maid,Grave,Soda: Twinkling Bunny,Noir,Pepper
Privaty: Unkind Maid,Soda: Twinkling Bunny,Rosanna,Grave,Noir

Remark: Across all the team setups, Scarlet can be replaced with the units provided in the Variations section for 2RL Scarlet Nuke.
