After Gillian delved into her intricate bond with her fellow actor David Duchovny during an episode of the Table Manners podcast, this topic was brought up…

In her own words, she discovered more about her X-Files colleague through his podcast than what she gleaned while collaborating with him on the filming set.

Gillian held a conversation with hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware about her innovative novel “Want”, her colleague David, who is 64 years old, the series “The Fall” and “Sex Education”, as well as her meals during her time on “The X-Files”.

Gillian remarked: “Our connection has typically been rather intricate due to the extended period we’ve spent working together so closely.

“We’re like an unofficial couple, if you will. I’ve listened to his podcast multiple times, and I find it quite engaging.

Listening to this man discuss emotional topics is intriguing. It seems I’ve gleaned more insights into his personality through his podcast than during our professional collaboration.

The star talked about her latest publication titled “Want”, a compilation of secret erotic desires from females worldwide that she gathered anonymously.

Gillian mentioned that the choice to exclude age information from her book’s submission was a matter decided internally at Bloomsbury.

She continued: ‘Sometimes it’s evident, and what’s really interesting is you read a fantasy and somebody talks about never having kissed anybody and then they reveal that they’re 70 years old.’

‘Fantasy is ageless.’

The actress shared that her book is deeply emotional, filled with tender feelings, compassion, sorrow, and an abundance of happiness.

‘There’s a lot of provocation, there’s a lot of c**k, a lot of orgasms… there’s a few tentacles.’

Gillian expressed her interest in potentially continuing the story by saying: “At the conclusion of everything, I wonder if there might be a new query to pose, or perhaps it wouldn’t revolve around fantasies anymore…

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but ponder: “The way people react to it and its success could potentially lead us down a different path.

Aside from her book, Gillian also discussed whether The Fall would return for a fourth series.

In a recent interview, the actress who plays Stella Gibson in the gripping TV show admitted that it didn’t fully deliver on its narrative promises.

Gillian mentioned that they had attempted to produce Season 4, but unfortunately, things didn’t work out as planned.

In addition to acting in The Fall, Gillian has also portrayed the character of sex therapist Jean Milburn in the Netflix series Sex Education. Interestingly, she had earlier decided not to let her kids watch this comedy-drama.
