The 37-year-old actress is set to take on leading roles in the live-action rendition of Enid Blyton’s cherished series, “The Faraway Tree.
In the tradition of The Faraway Tree novel collection, the story titled “The Magic Faraway Tree” centers around siblings Polly and Tim Thompson, along with their offspring – Beth, Joe, and Fran. This family finds themselves compelled to move to a secluded region in the heart of England.
There, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric occupants.

In a recent announcement, actress Jessica Gunning, who played the role of Baby Reindeer, has been titled Dame Washalot, while Dustin Demri-Burns will be known as Saucepan Man in the future.

The story “The Magic Faraway Tree” is derived from a series of children’s novels known as “The Faraway Tree Series.” This collection includes four books: “The Enchanted Wood” published in 1939, “The Magic Faraway Tree” from 1943, “The Folk of the Faraway Tree” from 1946, and “Up the Faraway Tree,” which was published in 1951.
