As I delve into the whimsical world of Amanda Holden, I find myself utterly captivated by her spontaneous spirit and unapologetic zest for life. This woman, who has graced our television screens for decades, continues to surprise us with her unexpected decisions. From dancing on stage in a bikini at the age of 42, to now getting a tattoo at 51 – Amanda’s fearlessness is truly inspiring.
During a humorous phone conversation on Thursday, Amanda Holden’s mother responded to learning that her daughter got her first-ever tattoo for the first time.
The presenter, 50, had three hearts inked onto her wrist during a girls night out in Los Angeles last week and left her husband Chris Hughes totally unimpressed.
It appears that Amanda’s mother, Judith Harrison, shared a similar view, humorously suggesting that Amanda might have been quite tipsy or reckless when she visited the tattoo parlor.
During an appearance on the Heart Breakfast show, the television personality and Jason King shared the news with her mother after she had overlooked a WhatsApp picture of her newly-acquired tattoo.
Amanda shared that she had sent a photo, to which her mother responded, “I’m not interested in gels right now, but I might change my mind because my nails are damaged anyway, so I may as well go for gels.

She noted, ‘She can’t have observed the pair of small hearts, one on my wrist and another on Jane’s.’
Over the phone, Judith responded: “I noticed some small heart symbols on your wrist. Were those permanent tattoos? Aren’t you getting actual tattoos, aren’t you?
Jason inquired about your thoughts regarding the incident where your daughter got her first tattoo during an adventurous vacation in America.
‘Well, she must have had too many gins that’s all I can say,’ she replied.
‘She wouldn’t have had that done. I know she doesn’t like tattoos.
She likely acted impulsively, possibly under the influence, when she was quite intoxicated.
‘One more question. She’s thinking about a piercing as well, what do you think?’ Jason question.
Amanda’s mum exclaimed: ‘Absolutely not.’

This week earlier on, Amanda playfully suggested that she knew full well what her 16-year spouse would remark about the tattoo, even though it had a heartfelt significance.
In a touching gesture, the judge from Britain’s Got Talent displayed twin heart tattoos located near her wrist, explaining that these symbols represent her beloved children, Holly and Lexi.
On her Heart Breakfast radio program, Amanda shared that she’s already decided on the location for another tattoo she plans to get.
Upon returning home from Los Angeles, only my child among the family seemed to notice my return, as they were all quite taken aback by it.
“I gave him countless hints, but he failed to catch on. To make matters worse, Holly seemed quite distraught because she was there when I got my tattoo – it barely stung and only took around half a minute.
‘In the end, we told Chris, and he had all three reactions that I said he would.
Initially, he expressed doubt about its authenticity.
‘I have a pair of small hearts side by side, representing my two kids. However, I plan to add another smaller heart beneath them.’
During our recent trip to Los Angeles with my daughter Holly for a short break, I decided on the spot to get a tattoo. It was because I was visiting my best friend, who’s resided there for two decades, as well as reconnecting with other friends who now call California home.
While enjoying a cup of tea with my friend Sarah, I observed as she was pressing the tea bag into her cup. At that moment, I spotted a tattoo on her arm, which led me to make a decision: I’ll get a similar one myself.

She continued: ‘Anyway, I go for dinner with friends and we were there with Holly, Freya and Jack, the children. And I said to Jane, look at what Sarah’s done to herself. And Jane was like ‘Oh my gosh this is fabulous’ I said, ‘let’s do it.’
‘She went, ‘you’re kidding’ and I said, ‘I’ve always been wholeheartedly against them.’ And we got in the car, and we went and found a place.
In this specific location, you’d find a bar along with a notable column right smack in the center of the room. However, the individual we were looking for was situated comfortably in one of the room’s corners.
‘We went over to this person, and he could fit us in, and we both did exactly the same thing. We both had a tattoo.’
