Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall suffers huge ‘I’m A Celebrity blow as knee injury which saw him miss out on 2023 series resurfaces’

As a long-time follower of Alan Halsall’s career and someone who has always admired his dedication to his craft, it is heartbreaking to see him face yet another setback. His spirit and resilience are truly inspiring, and I have no doubt that he will overcome this injury just as he did the challenges on Coronation Street.

It seems that Alan Halsall, a well-known actor from Coronation Street, may have experienced a significant setback in his participation for I’m A Celebrity… as his earlier knee injury has reoccurred, potentially preventing him from appearing in the 2023 series.

The well-recognized actor, aged 42, who gained fame by portraying Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap opera, reportedly withdrew from a padel tournament because of an injury.

For the upcoming series starting on November 17, Alan is planning to venture into the jungle, yet there’s a possibility he might need to withdraw due to health reasons.

Back in November, I underwent a significant knee surgery that my doctors warned might need up to a year for a full recovery – me, the die-hard fan!

The surgery sees the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructed by removing the torn ligament and replacing it with a tendon from another area of the leg.

According to a source, Alan had initially planned to join a padel tournament, but at the very last moment, he withdrew due to discomfort in his knee.

Things appear okay at the moment, but it’s crucial he exercises great caution. There’s a possibility that certain tests may not include him, as management is still determining whether he could be excluded due to specific reasons.

It’s a significant setback for Alan, as he had been eagerly anticipating immersing himself in it. Now, however, he must exercise caution.

TopMob has contacted Alan’s representatives for comment.

Alan updated his followers at the time when he had the surgery.

Accompanied by a photo, the following message was shared: “Had an ACL reconstruction surgery. Guess what? On Friday, I successfully completed an ACL reconstruction procedure.

Based on what I’ve been informed, the operation turned out exceptionally well. Although I understand that the recovery period, estimated to be between 9 and 12 months, is a long one, I am confident that with the help of my loved ones and friends, I will successfully navigate through this journey.

A big thank you to the outstanding staff at Oaklands, you’re all fantastic! And a special thanks to my personal nurse Ratched @missdrewmerry93. Do you have any rehabilitation tips or advice for me?

The Coronation Street star is said to have missed out on the 2023 series due to the injury.

According to a source back then, it’s a significant setback as he cannot travel to Australia due to strong objections from his doctor.

‘Alan will have to completely heal first before he can join us next year. It’s truly unfortunate since everyone was excited to see him on the program, but sometimes events unfold this way.’

A representative for Coronation Street announced that while Tyrone will continue appearing on the show, he’ll temporarily step away as actor Alan takes time off to recover.

It was communicated to TopMob that Alan will appear on screen within the upcoming weeks since we are shooting two months early. Following this, he will have a brief hiatus while he recuperates.
