NASCAR entry list gets one late addition for Phoenix race

As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours navigating virtual race tracks, I must say, the return of Team AmeriVet to Phoenix Raceway is like a nostalgic throwback to my early days of racing games! Jeb Burton, a familiar name from the past, is back behind the wheel, and it feels like we’ve fast-forwarded five years in a time machine!

Originally, there were 39 cars scheduled to participate in the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday afternoon, with three of them being non-permanent entries. However, another non-permanent entry has been added recently, increasing the total number of cars to 40, which is enough to fill all the required spots for the race.

AmeriVet Racing, previously known as The Money Team Racing, made a comeback to the Cup Series for the first time since the beginning of the previous season at the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, with Ty Dillon driving the No. 50 Chevrolet.

Currently, they have returned to Phoenix, accompanied by a driver who last participated in a NASCAR Cup Series race over half a decade ago.

Team AmeriVet returning at Phoenix

Jeb Burton, who last competed in the Cup Series with Rick Ware Racing at Richmond Raceway back in April 2019, will be behind the wheel of the No. 50 Chevrolet for this upcoming race, which spans 312 laps on Avondale’s four-cornered, 1.022-mile (1.645-kilometer) track in Arizona.

As Burton, I’m thrilled to be teaming up with Luxedo Immersive Experiences and representing them on the racetrack. Right now, I’m all in with Jordan Anderson Racing in the Xfinity Series, giving it my everything day by day.

After a shift in ownership prior to their trip to Charlotte, it’s now known that Team AmeriVet has partial ownership held by AmeriVet Securities.

It’s appropriate that AmeriVet Securities, a financial services company owned by service-disabled veterans, made its first appearance this year over Memorial Day Weekend, and plans to make its second appearance during Veterans Day Weekend, given their background.

This weekend’s entry list also features three unchartered vehicles: the #44 NY Racing Team Chevrolet, the #66 MBM Motorsports Ford, and the #84 Legacy Motor Club Toyota. These cars will be driven by J.J. Yeley, Chad Finchum, and Jimmie Johnson in their respective roles.

Tune in this Sunday, November 10th at 3:00 p.m. ET as Phoenix Raceway takes center stage for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race! NBC will be there to bring you all the live action. Sign up now for a free trial of FuboTV and catch every moment of this exciting event!
