Benson takes a job from Clark Kent in Law & Order: SVU season 26, episode 6 (Exclusive)
As a long-time fan of Law & Order: SVU, I can confidently say that this show never fails to deliver gripping stories that tackle important social issues. The sneak peek for season 26, episode 6, titled “Rorschach,” is no exception. With its focus on consent and the need for DNA evidence, it’s clear that this episode will be a challenging one for our favorite detectives.
In the sneak peek of Law & Order: SVU season 26, episode 6, FBI Agent Clay seeks assistance from Benson after two campers are assaulted. Not surprisingly, Benson quickly agrees to lend a hand in their interaction.
Josh Cooke’s stage character, Clay, is often called “Clark Kent” due to his resemblance – the glasses and dark hair evoking a similar vibe. Moreover, there’s a hint of Superman in him too, as his strong desire to assist others reflects this superhero’s altruistic spirit.
Benson notices that Clay having coffee ready at 7:30 a.m. suggests he wants something from her. It’s apparent he’s trying to win her favor, and it doesn’t take long to understand why he requires her involvement in the case.
Law & Order: SVU season 26, episode 6 brings up the need for consent
A sneak peek at episode 6 of Law & Order: SVU season 26, titled “Rorschach,” offers a glimpse into the case. It’s revealed that a couple was assaulted during a camping trip. Interestingly, Clay refrains from casting judgment on their activities. He merely notes that they were attempting to build a reputation as travel influencers, and that’s all there is to it. Even Benson maintains silence regarding this aspect.
To be honest, the reason for their presence is not crucial. As far as we know, they weren’t fleeing anything.
The incident in question involved an assault, during which the boyfriend was stabbed twice and the girlfriend was brutally attacked, left nearly unclothed and close to death. There’s suspicion of sexual misconduct, making it crucial for Benson to get involved. However, a rape kit test has yet to be conducted.
Benson emphasizes that since it’s already been a full day, it suggests a more significant issue at hand. Important consent is required, and indeed, this is crucial. Gathering DNA to apprehend the suspect complicates matters for the law enforcement, making it a challenging situation for them.
Currently, Benson’s workload is rather heavy, yet it seems impossible for her to refuse this task, particularly when Clay emphasizes that there’s no one else quite as adept at resolving such cases as she is.
