No Man's Sky to Receive Cross-Save Support and Another Chance to Earn Mass Effect's Normandy SR1

As a seasoned gamer with years of traversing galaxies under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement upon hearing the news about No Man’s Sky‘s cross-save support. I remember the days when I first started my journey across the infinite expanse, only to find myself stranded on a desolate planet far from home.

No Man’s Sky developers, Hello Games, have unveiled that they will be implementing cross-save functionality across all available platforms. This significant task, as they term it, aims to bring one of the game’s most demanded features to life. Now, players can enjoy both cross-play and cross-save compatibility on No Man’s Sky, no matter which platform they choose.

According to Sean Murray of Hello Games, writing on the PlayStation Blog, adding cross-save is similar to moving house. The longer someone has lived in one place, the more difficult it becomes to move them! This is because we also have players who played the game at launch eight years ago and are now loading their old saves onto a platform that didn’t even exist back then.

Beyond the introduction of cross-save, there’s another opportunity to acquire the SSV Normandy SR1 from Mass Effect during today’s N7 Day festivities. Commander Shepard’s ship made its debut in No Man’s Sky back in May 2021, and then reappeared in December of the same year. As a result, opportunities to include it in your fleet have been scarce and infrequent.

From now until November 21st, you’ll get another chance to explore the Normandy and incorporate it into your fleet of ships within a revamped version of the initial Beachhead Expedition mission in No Man’s Sky.
