Is Danny’s job on the line in Blue Bloods season 14, episode 14? (Preview)
As a gamer who’s been through countless seasons of police dramas, I must say that Blue Bloods never ceases to impress. The latest episode, season 14, episode 14, is yet another testament to its gripping storytelling.
In the 14th episode of Blue Bloods’ 14th season, it appears that Danny is facing some tough times. It falls upon Frank to stand up for his son.
There’s no need for concern; Danny isn’t facing termination. The initial promo may have given that impression, but it turns out he won’t receive an award he was expecting instead. It seems some individuals lack the ability to separate their emotions from their decision-making process.
Two returning characters in Blue Bloods season 14, episode 14
In the upcoming installment, it’s Frank who steps up to protect Danny, initially intended to receive an honor. Regrettably, that recognition is withdrawn due to Grace Edward’s actions. Noteworthy, Lori Laughlin reappears in the show, portraying Grace and expressing her disapproval of Danny.
Grace is a widow whose spouse was an NYPD officer who lost his life in the line of duty. This tragic event has led her to harbor resentment towards individuals like Danny and other officers who sometimes act impulsively or recklessly. She’s leveraging this sentiment to prevent Danny from receiving an award, even though he has accumulated numerous acts of goodwill over the years.
In this installment of “Blue Bloods,” Danny and Baez find themselves tackling a significant issue: the homicide of a detective who was probing an art gallery suspected of peddling fake artworks. It seems that someone from within the gallery is trying to conceal their wrongdoing, and as a result, this incident is rapidly escalating into something more complex.
As a devoted fan, allow me to share some exciting news: Lauren Patten reappears as Rachel Witten in the series. Her character enters the narrative when I, Eddie, discover that Rachel took an unconventional step to assist a mentally ill client, who desperately needed help but was ensnared by bureaucratic red tape. While I’m not entirely sure about the line she crossed, I must admit that the end justifies the means in this situation, especially when it comes to helping those in need.
Check out the promo and synopsis for Blue Bloods season 14, episode 14:
Danny and Baez scrutinize an art gallery suspected of selling counterfeit pieces after a detective investigating the establishment is murdered. Also, Eddie is conflicted when she discovers her former partner turned social worker, Rachel Witten (Lauren Patten), crossed the line to get a mentally ill client much-needed help; and Frank is upset when an award Danny was to be honored with is rescinded by Grace Edwards (Lori Loughlin), the widow of an NYPD officer killed in the line of duty.
Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10/9c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
