A mistake during Tuesday’s episode of Married At First Sight led to an unedited outburst with strong language being broadcast on Channel Nine.
The upsetting moment happened at the conclusion of a particularly intense episode, where Scott McCristal and Gia Fleur broke up.
Scott was devastated after watching a replay of the recent “Grass Is Greener” challenge, which showed the cast meeting potential new partners.
He had to finish the challenge alone because Gia unexpectedly left, abandoning her wedding ring and the marriage.
Scott was deeply upset by Gia’s flirty interaction with James, another guy she’s seeing, and he let out a very emotional, honest outburst.
Even though the show used sound effects to cover up offensive language, about halfway through Scott’s angry outburst, it was obvious the person responsible for muting the bad words accidentally let one slip through.
Scott was visibly devastated and expressed feeling deeply hurt, saying, ‘I’m torn apart. I just got screwed,’ in a scene shown without censorship to Australian audiences.
‘I just got f***ed for three months. I just got f***ed.’
Through tears, Scott continued, saying he didn’t care anymore. He explained that she had completely broken his heart and left him feeling devastated.
I honestly can’t believe it’s still up on 9Now! That whole outburst is just…wow. And everyone’s losing it in the Facebook group, completely outraged they didn’t edit it out. It’s a mess, but I kind of can’t look away, even though I probably should!
‘Did they forget to bleep out the swearing from Scott in the last scene? Lmao,’ one fan posted.
‘Think they didn’t on purpose to make it shocking and make everyone watch,’ someone added.
Meanwhile, others applauded the moment and shared their sympathies with Scott.
‘I noticed that. Glad they left in tho he was so frustrated and fed up,’ someone commented.
‘So many f**ks said and too many given,’ added another.
Daily Mail has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
The episode opened with a heated argument between Scott and Gia on the street. Gia had decided to leave for home two days before the Final Vows ceremony, and Scott was upset about it.
Gia previously urged Scott to go back to Melbourne with her, explaining she wanted to see her family and saying they both needed to leave immediately.
Let me tell you, drama unfolded recently! Gia and Scott were having a moment, and it all blew up when Scott decided to continue with the experiment after initially wanting to leave. Gia was understandably upset and felt like Scott was just staying for the attention, which led to a really public and messy fight. It was a tough situation for everyone involved, and honestly, a reminder that reality TV can really amplify things!
“It’s always about the show with you… you’ve never really cared about me,” she said before getting into an Uber and driving away, leaving Scott standing alone on the street.
Even though Gia and Scott had announced their breakup, Gia called Scott again and attempted to convince him to quit the experiment.
Once he returned to their apartment, Scott found Gia’s wedding ring on a bench.
He finished his last duty, and this made Scott wonder on camera why Gia seemed so eager to leave the show.
Visibly upset, Scott told the camera, ‘She actually lied right to my face,’ and then went on a profanity-filled tirade.
He wondered why she was so desperate to leave. She didn’t want him to find out what she’d done on the final exam.
