During the interview, he revealed some exciting news about the seventh season of “Virgin River“!
During the interview, Matheson made it clear that production for the upcoming sequel is set to start in March 2025. He also mentioned that the cast members have developed a strong bond over their five-year journey on set, considering each other more like family now.
He expressed his affection for the show, stating that the cast and crew have formed a close-knit group, reminiscent of a family. This sense of camaraderie has made it an exceptional experience for him, ranking among his favorites, and he continues to cherish the show.
I really enjoy portraying the character Doc Mullins, as I’ve had extensive experience playing various doctor roles and delved deeply into understanding rural doctors who care for tight-knit communities. This role offers a unique bond with the people I play, which sets it apart.
As you stroll along the sidewalk or hang out in a bar after dark, you can’t help but notice them; they’re everywhere. It’s an unusual form of therapy, indeed. This is the tale of a man who abandoned the bustling metropolis to return to personal patient care, and I find it genuinely endearing.
Starting next month (December 19), Netflix is bringing back the beloved series for its sixth season. Last month, they shared sneak peek images from the upcoming episodes on their social media platforms, featuring all the familiar faces we’ll see again.
