The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 reveals first look at Stephen Merchant

As a die-hard fan of the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming spin-off series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. Having grown up watching Norman Reedus’ badass portrayal of Daryl Dixon and Melissa McBride’s unyielding Carol Peletier, I feel like I’ve been through the zombie apocalypse myself (well, vicariously at least).

On the trailer for season 3 of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” several notable new characters have been introduced, among them is the character played by Stephen Merchant.

In a new installment following “The Walking Dead,” character Daryl, portrayed by Norman Reedus, embarks on a journey across France – the birthplace of the virus. Along the way, he reconnects with his trusted partner Carol Peletier, played by Melissa McBride.

After the season 2 finale aired, the series debuted a first clip from the third season.

In this scene, Daryl and Carol are wandering through the streets of London, with an old double-decker bus looming behind them. It’s quite possible that they encounter Merchant’s unnamed survivor, who is seen carrying a rifle on his back at the 00:03 mark in this teaser video.

On his Instagram post, Merchant expressed his excitement about being included in the world of the zombie series, stating that he’s “eager to become a part of this universe.

This time, it’s not just the merchant who’ll be battling walkers; in fact, Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay have joined the main cast for season three this September.

In yet another poignant moment under the flickering campfire light, I found myself opening up to Carol. I confided in her, admitting that for a while, I’d been on the brink of surrender, believing our struggles were insurmountable.

Carol replies: “You and me both.”

Daryl Dixon will offer more than one change of scenery during its upcoming season.

Additionally, as part of the London project, the main characters will also enjoy sunnier environments in Spain. This is because some of the upcoming episodes have been moved there for filming.

The Walking Dead aired on AMC in the US and STAR on Disney+ in the UK.

The book about Carol, a character from “The Walking Dead” series featuring Daryl Dixon, made its debut this September on AMC in the United States and Sky Max/NOW in the United Kingdom.
