As a seasoned gamer of both the big and small screen, I must say that the news of Stephen Graham‘s latest venture, “Good Boy,” has left me intrigued and eagerly anticipating its release. With his exceptional talent for portraying complex characters, Graham never fails to deliver a performance that leaves an indelible mark.
Stephen Graham has been announced for a brand-new thriller, one with a very twisted premise.
It’s been reported that the movie “Good Boy” has completed its filming in both Yorkshire and Warsaw, and it will shortly start searching for potential buyers.
The movie narrates the story of a 19-year-old, who heads a criminal gang, delighting in persuading his peers to carry out heinous violent deeds. However, one fateful night, he is abducted by an elderly man, portrayed by Graham, and upon waking up, finds himself shackled with a chain around his neck in the basement of a residence.
In an unusual household situation, the captor and his spouse compel the victim to conform to a moral lifestyle, aiming to make him abandon his criminal ways and behave like an upright citizen. Can he manage to break free from this predicament?
In the movie, Andrea Riseborough portrays Graham’s wife, just as Anson Boon, who starred in “Pistol” and “1917,” takes on the role of the young gang leader. Renowned Polish director Jan Komasa, known for films like “Warsaw 44” and “Corpus Christi,” is at the helm of this production.
This week, Graham’s new movie titled “Blitz“, a gripping wartime story, hit theaters. Directed by Steve McQueen, who brought us “12 Years a Slave“, and featuring Saoirse Ronan and Paul Weller, our team at Digital Spy found it quite captivating.
In our assessment, we commended the movie for skillfully combining breathtakingly beautiful and spine-tingling action sequences with subtly portrayed characters, thus crafting a unique take on the war genre.
Moving forward, Graham has been assigned roles in a Bruce Springsteen biopic alongside Jeremy Allen White from “The Bear”, a crime drama based in London for Netflix, a show about underground boxing created by the mind behind “Peaky Blinders”, and the big-screen comeback of “Peaky Blinders” itself.
