Formula 1: 2024 Brazil sprint qualifying updates, full starting lineup

As a seasoned gamer of Formula 1 races, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation as the Interlagos Circuit once again prepares to host the sprint race. With its rich history and challenging layout, this track is always a crowd-pleaser.

The Interlagos Track, famously called Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, now regularly appears on the Formula 1 quick race calendar.

This track is unique because it was the one that held a sprint race during the initial three seasons after the new format was introduced, and it’s planned to host the fifth of the six sprint races this year as well, in 2024.

The upcoming sprint race on Saturday will only be about one-third the length of a regular Grand Prix. This particular Grand Prix, known as the Brazilian Grand Prix, takes place at a 15-turn road course that spans approximately 4.308 kilometers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The full Grand Prix event is planned for 71 laps, but the sprint race will only last for 24 laps.

It’s worth noting that the sprint race hasn’t been won by the driver starting from pole position. For instance, Max Verstappen started first but Valtteri Bottas triumphed in 2021, Kevin Magnussen started ahead of George Russell who emerged victorious in 2022, and Lando Norris was on pole before Max Verstappen won in 2023.
