Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 7.1 'Crossroads' November Release Date Pinned Down

As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent exploring the fantastical worlds of Final Fantasy XIV, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Patch 7.1, ‘Crossroads’. The promise of crossover alliance raid series from Final Fantasy XI and the new raid content transporting us to the world of Vana’diel is enough to send shivers of anticipation down my spine!


Today, we have fresh news about the upcoming major update for Final Fantasy XIV Online, titled ‘Crossroads’, which comes after the July release of its expansion, Dawntrail. This exciting new patch brings a plethora of new features and content to the game.

This includes ‘Echoes of Vana’diel’, a new Final Fantasy XI crossover alliance raid series, and the ‘Jeuno: The First Walk’ raid – 24-player battle content that will transport you to the world of Vana’diel. Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida also revealed the upcoming 8-player ‘Ultimate’ difficulty ‘Futures Rewritten’ raid coming with Patch 7.11, and the first 24-player ‘Chaotic’ difficulty battle content coming after Patch 7.15, dubbed ‘The Cloud of Darkness’.

Apart from the main story quest at Crossroads and the previously mentioned raids, Update 7.1 will also introduce the new Yuweyawata Field Station dungeon, a challenging battle against Byakko (one of the Four Lords) in the ‘Jade Stoa’ Unreal Trial at level 100, the ‘The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden’ Trial, new Allied Society Quests, a fresh Custom Delivery Client named Nitowikwe, enhancements to PvP content, updates for Hall of Novice tutorials, and additional features.

Hildibrand will make another appearance with even more hilarious exploits! Additionally, you’ll be able to experience the main scenario quests, job quests, and role quests again thanks to New Game+ support. There will also be enhancements to Duty Support, updates for player housing, and Doman Mahjong will now feature NPC voiceovers. For all the details, check out the full patch notes.

The update for Final Fantasy XIV Online, labeled as Patch 7.1, is set to release on all platforms including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and computers on the 12th of November.
