A twenty-three member talent team will bring you all the action from the Shanghai Major

PGL has disclosed the list of participants for the Shanghai Major, a group of twenty-three people who will provide commentary for the second major tournament of 2024 and its RMRs. Richard Lewis and Mauisnake are returning to the team after their successful work on the Elisa Masters Espoo broadcast.

In China, the Shanghai Major is being arranged by Perfect World, but the English broadcast will be managed by PGL from their studios based in Romania. This decision came after PGL announced they had secured the necessary media rights back in July.

Shanghai Major Talent Announced

The Shanghai Major’s opening rounds begin on November 11, starting with the Asian region. The Americas will join in a day later, on November 12. Due to its large number of Major slots, Europe will be divided into two groups again: Europe A will take place from November 17-20 and Europe B from November 21-24.

As a gamer, I’m excited to share that for the first time ever, Regional Major Rankings (RMRs) will pave the way directly into the Shanghai Major, with just a week separating the two events. Valve has also introduced a fresh rule concerning player signature stickers. Starting from the RMRs, we’ll be personally submitting our stickers after the conclusion of the tournament.
