Kylie Jenner and sister Kendall reveal their joint Halloween costumes and get into character with a singing video as fans praise their ‘iconic’ choice
As I delve into this captivating narrative about the enigmatic Jane Fonda, I find myself mesmerized by the kaleidoscope of her life experiences. From her beginnings as the third wife of Roger Vadim, a man who seemed to have an irresistible charm that attracted some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, to her reluctance to take on the saucy role of Barbarella, Fonda’s journey is nothing short of fascinating.
This year, Kylie Jenner and her sister Kendall received admiration from fans due to their remarkable Halloween costumes, which were inspired by the Lizzie McGuire movie.
The movie follows Lizzie as she finishes middle school and embarks on a school trip to Rome, which unexpectedly turns into the fulfillment of a long-held dream for her.
During her trip, Lizzy was incorrectly identified as the Italian pop sensation Isabella, leading to an unforgettable performance together on stage, which is now a cherished memory among fans.
Lizzie and Isabella performed the song “This Is What Dreams Are Made Of,” while Kylie and Kendall convincingly mimed to the track on TikTok.
Kylie, donned up like Isabella in full swing of early 00s style, was a sight to behold, flaunting a chic green jacket, an elegant long skirt adorned with shimmer, and stylish sparkly boots.
Emulating the enchanting darkness of Isabella’s mane, I styled my own brunette cascades into gentle waves. To elevate the look, I chose a glamorous makeup palette and added a sleek black headset as my final touch.
In the play, it was Kendall, transformed into Lizzie, who at first seemed uncomfortable on stage alongside Isabella, who later stunned everyone in a graceful purple outfit and a striking blonde wig.
Spectators noticed Kendall appearing uneasy in the video and prompted her to add more energy to her act by commenting suggestions in the feedback area.
In response to a comment, Kylie retorted by saying, “It seems you haven’t watched the movie,” since Kendall mimicked Lizzie’s bashful demeanor flawlessly.
It was widely believed among others that Kylie’s concept for Lizzie McGuire was driven by her obvious passion as shown in the video.
One person commented: ‘Whose iconic was this’ and another replied: ‘Probably Kylie.’
Another said: ‘Kylie wanted to do this so bad, I can feel’, acknowledging they may have been right, the make-up mogul replied: ‘Lmao’.
Other admirers commented on their costumes and the video, exclaiming: “You don’t grasp how timeless this is”; “this seemed strange” but have you watched the movie?! It’s exactly the point, haha”; ‘When you realize that we were all just kids watching the same movies, now we’re grown up’;
‘The movements are so spot on Kylie’ and ‘this is iconic’.
I must admit, this isn’t my first Halloween costume this year; I’ve already sported a few spooktacular looks, even channeling some iconic Demi Moore vibes along the way!
Kylie looked stunning when she put on a sparkling black bikini similar to Demi’s iconic Striptease costume for her Halloween celebration.
She showcased her astonishing physique, mirroring a scene from the 1996 movie, by emulating the performance of Demi’s character at a nightclub.
Just as Demi does, Kylie flaunted her long, straight brunette hair and playfully waved a white blouse.
The cosmetics entrepreneur was found with stacks of money hidden in the side of her undergarments, while striking a confident pose for the photograph.
Kylie also went completely nude to recreate the film’s famous theatrical release poster.
She let her long, sleek black hair cascade straight and loose around her bare figure, which bore a sun-kissed, well-defined appearance, accentuated by subtle beige makeup.
Striptease was a movie about a single mom striptease artist.
In a turn of events, when Erin Grant, previously an assistant at the FBI, loses custody of her daughter to her ex-husband, she finds herself in a financial predicament as she seeks to mount a legal battle to regain her child.
Consequently, she secures employment as a dancer at the lively Eager Beaver nightclub in Miami, where she develops a friendship with a towering bouncer named Shad, portrayed by Ving Rhames.
Sadly, Erin finds herself the focus of fixation for politician David Dilbeck (Burt Reynolds). He manages to attain his desires, whether by charisma or force, and among those desires is none other than Erin.
It came after channelled Jane Fonda’s iconic 1960s role Barbarella.
Barbarella initially appeared as a French comic book series, later transformed into the 1968 science fiction film “Barbarella,” which was helmed by Roger Vadim, who was previously married to Jane.
Kylie took on the role of a character wearing a revealing outfit, which she displayed to her more than 400 million Instagram fans on Wednesday.
She strongly resembled Jane, from her towering, blonde hairstyle to her unique accessory – a metallic bra-like piece adorned with a flowing cape – right down to the pretend firearm she carried.
Reflecting on one of my captivating snapshots, I decided to channel the iconic character, Barbarella. In this shot, I reenacted the intriguing dialogue where she was asked, “Are you representative of Earth women?” To which she responded with a charmingly candid, “I’m average.” I strive to embody that same effortless elegance and relatability in my everyday life, just as Barbarella did.
2022 saw the announcement towards the end of the year that a fresh adaptation of Barbarella is under development, featuring Sydney Sweeney from Euphoria as the main character.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jane admitted that she’s been avoiding thinking too much about the upcoming movie because she’s anxious about how it will turn out.
She argued that the 1968 version made by her first husband ‘could have been a truly feminist movie’ had the subject been handled differently.
Roger Vadim, a renowned French movie director, had an extraordinary number of spouses, beginning with Brigitte Bardot, whom he frequently worked with on various film projects.
In 2018, Jane said to PeopleTV that he found the individual incredibly attractive and had the ability to captivate anyone. She explained, “Prior to me, it was Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, Annette Stroyberg, among others. I was young and eager to learn how to become a woman, so he instructed me on how to portray a female impersonator.
In her documentary titled “Jane Fonda In Five Acts,” Jane, being the third out of six spouses, confessed that she initially hesitated to play the bold character of Barbarella.
