Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Had the 'Biggest' Ever Opening Weekend For the Series

As a dedicated gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the recent launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been nothing short of spectacular! The sheer scale and success of this game are truly jaw-dropping, especially considering its impressive debut on various platforms.

Activision announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 had its largest three-day launch weekend in the Call of Duty series, as reported by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Moreover, he shared that there was a 60% increase in sales for this game on PlayStation and Steam platforms.

It’s worth mentioning that neither of those two platforms offers Game Pass, where Black Ops 6 has been successful on Xbox and personal computers (excluding Steam). As stated by Nadella, the latest Call of Duty launch has broken a record for “the number of new subscribers joining Game Pass”.

Without a doubt, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has dominated the sales rankings, even though specific figures about the number of units sold are yet to be disclosed. It’s assumed that the number is substantial, but we’re still uncertain how it stacks up against other recent editions in the Call of Duty series.

We’re thrilled to be a part of this triumphant debut, sharing this success with our fantastic collaborators!”, co-developer Raven Software expressed on Twitter, while the official Call of Duty account echoed gratitude to the #CallOfDuty community, acknowledging that the launch of #BlackOps6 has established new records for day one and opening weekend sales.

The sixth installment of Call of Duty: Black Ops, namely Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is now playable on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and personal computers. A new mode called Infected has been incorporated into the Multiplayer, while the popular Nuketown map will be accessible tomorrow. The first season, designated as Season 01, is slated to begin on November 14th.

We’re so proud to be a part of such a successful launch alongside our amazing partners! 🥳
