In a series of Instagram posts, he declared “She said YES,” as he shared beautiful images from their enchanting proposal. Additionally, he posted some heartwarming photos on his Instagram story, labeling that magical late October night as the “most incredible evening of my life.

Dobrev playfully announced her own post as well, saying “Farewell boyfriend, welcome fiancé” and attaching a few pictures from their engagement shoot. One photo shows her covering her mouth in amazement, with her hand clutching a diamond ring, of course.

That look of surprise was hard-earned, White told Vogue in an interview published Wednesday.

Originally, White had planned to propose during the couple’s summer holiday, but his plans were thwarted when Dobrev got hurt in a dirt-biking mishap. Later, he abandoned another proposal idea that aligned with their November trip to Cape Town, South Africa, because Dobrevs’ suspicions made her wary – and White was aiming for a genuine surprise.

What’s more, she encourages me to maintain the same high standards in my life, which I find truly inspiring as a partner.

In September, while celebrating White’s birthday, Dobrev expressed that there were “more pictures, more thrilling experiences, more joyful moments, and more adorable instances” than could be contained in just one post.
