To most people watching the livestream, it seemed normal, but Ed Matthews’ dedicated fans could tell something was wrong.
The well-known and often debated online figure and boxer was seen on the streaming platform Kick from Miami on Sunday. He looked messy and was using crutches.
Matthews began his livestream just hours after his former girlfriend, Elsa Rae, revealed she was pregnant with her first child. The baby’s father is Marcus John, whom she started dating only six months prior after meeting him on the reality show, Big Brother.
Elsa, 22, and Ed, 23, had a complicated relationship that started in 2021 and officially ended in July of last year. The split followed accusations that Ed didn’t want Elsa to be on a particular TV show and that he had been unfaithful.
It’s clear that Ed was upset to learn about her new relationship with Marcus John and that they’re expecting a baby.
Someone close to Ed shared that he puts on a brave face, but it’s clear he’s actually quite bothered by things.
‘They were together for a long time and only split last year. It is still fresh.’
On Sunday, Ed appeared with Braden Eric Peters, also known online as Clavicular, a social media personality who focuses on improving physical appearance. They were filmed traveling around Miami in a spacious Mercedes van.
People filled the comments section of their video with teasing messages about Ed and the news of Elsa’s baby, and many noticed he seemed upset.
When Ed’s new friend, Clav, who is 20, asked about the meaning of some messages, Ed chuckled and said he was happy for the person involved. Clav, looking puzzled, then asked, ‘Aren’t you the father?’
Ed once again shrugged it off.
Next, they visited a ‘rage room’ – a place where people can pay to smash things like old electronics, furniture, and glass to blow off steam and deal with frustration.
Ed, who had been laughing moments before, suddenly started violently destroying a wardrobe with a baseball bat. However, his movement was limited – he broke his shin in January while performing a stunt for social media and still relies on crutches.
Still broadcasting on his livestream after visiting the rage room, Ed, who is from Essex, returned to his comfortable hotel room. There, he activated the text-to-speech function, which reads viewers’ comments aloud using an automated voice.
Oh my gosh, someone actually said to Ed, ‘I know everyone’s being awful to you, and I know it’s really getting to you. We all see how much this is hurting you!’ It just breaks my heart to think about him going through all this, but it’s amazing someone finally acknowledged it, you know?
Ed’s amusement quickly faded, and he responded sharply, ‘I don’t care anymore. It’s been too long.’
Elsa and Marcus announced they are expecting a baby, just half a year after meeting on the reality show Big Brother in 2025.
The influencer and mechanical engineer shared on Instagram that they are expecting a baby in October 2026. They expressed their excitement in a post, saying they’ve been keeping it a secret!
She shared a photo on social media showing her ultrasound and a sweet baby outfit, complete with tiny knitted booties.
Viewers first saw Elsa and Marcus connect when they met on the show Big Brother last year, and they quickly became a couple.
Even though they had a few tense or awkward scenes together while filming, the two have become very close friends since the show finished in November.
The couple shared with the Daily Mail that they’re thrilled to be expecting their first child, although a little nervous. They weren’t planning a pregnancy, but say it’s a wonderful surprise, and they’re excited to start this new adventure as parents.
Elsa shared that she never expected to find love, especially not with someone she met on Big Brother. When asked what she hoped to gain from the show, she’d wished for a happy ending – and she feels she’s actually gotten one. She says she couldn’t be more content.

They started dating when she was 15 and he was 18, and their unhealthy relationship was frequently displayed publicly on live streams watched by many people.
The couple officially separated in July 2025, after Ed shared a video explaining his feelings. He said, ‘If you don’t see a future with someone, there’s no point in continuing a relationship for years.’
The split between Ed and Elsa became messy when Ed confessed to being unfaithful. He revealed to his fans in a video – recorded after watching Elsa interact with Marcus on the reality show Big Brother – that he’d learned about the affair several months prior, initially hearing only that she was going on the show.
I told her I didn’t want her to do that, but she said she needed to prioritize her career. That’s when I had an affair. I deliberately did the opposite of what she asked, deciding to be unfaithful even though she’d asked me not to.
Elsa initially gained attention on social media by appearing with Ed, and she eventually grew her own following to more than 450,000 people.
Ed, recently profiled in the Netflix documentary Inside The Manosphere, has a large Instagram following of 389,000. He and his group are known for creating attention-grabbing online videos that often express harmful views about women.
The group includes Harrison Sullivan, 24, more commonly known online as ‘HSTikkyTokky’.
Ed appeared in the documentary with Theroux and Harrison to discuss his increasing activity on live streaming platforms. He described how he would chat with girls online and participate in what he called ‘predator stings’ – situations where he would film himself confronting and publicly shaming people he believed were predators or involved in child exploitation.
In the documentary, 23-year-old Ed showed Louis Theroux that he had made some people eat pet food as part of his operation, and he boasted that this punishment was harsher than being in jail.
He also shared his beliefs about conspiracy theories, explaining to Louis that he thinks the world’s leaders don’t have our best interests at heart. He believes they use negative energy to harm people.
During an interview with Louis Theroux, Ed gave a shocking and anti-Semitic answer when asked about who he believed held power. He simply stated, ‘The Jews.’
Since the documentary came out, Ed hasn’t addressed the criticism he’s received online. Instead, he’s gone back to his usual routine of live-streaming on Kick, posting videos of himself socializing with other influencers who have also faced controversy.
It seems Ed is trying to maintain his tough guy persona, but he likely still has strong feelings for his ex-girlfriend.
