As a longtime advocate for civic engagement and social justice, it is heartening to see so many influential figures using their platforms to encourage Americans to vote during this critical election season. From Mandy Moore, who has welcomed three beautiful children into the world and now seeks to protect their future, to Kevin Bacon, whose dance moves are as iconic as his acting career, these celebrities are setting an inspiring example for us all.

Famous figures across the country are using social media platforms to motivate their audience to do as they intend, which is to cast their votes ahead of time for the forthcoming presidential election.

Even though Election Day is on November 5th, 2024, some well-known celebrities like Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Lizzo have already exercised their right to vote ahead of schedule.

On a Monday, Gomez (aged 32) placed her formal voting envelope into a postbox as she was en route to the debut of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place in Los Angeles.

As a die-hard fashion enthusiast, I couldn’t help but adorn my breathtaking crimson sequined Rodarte gown with a matching accessory – a clutch bag that proudly showcased my “I Voted” sticker.

‘ITS TIME TO GO VOTE!!!’ she reminded her more than 58.2 TikTok followers.

She is voting in a presidential election for the second time, having disclosed in 2020 that she used to believe her vote held little significance, being a Democrat residing in a predominantly Democratic (or “blue”) state.

She shared with Vogue that she wasn’t embarrassed to admit this, but the truth is, it was her first time [experiencing something]. She felt compelled to share this because for the first time in her life, she truly believed – and I can confirm this is true now – that her vote matters. Every single vote matters, some people might think otherwise, saying “Oh, well what difference does it make?” But she firmly believes in its importance.

Like Gomez, Grande also cast her ballot, this week, and encouraged her fans to do the same.

To mark the occasion, the We Can’t Be Friends hitmaker posted a selfie on her Instagram selfie.

She tagged Vice President Harris, who is the Democratic presidential nominee and overlayed the image with Beyoncé’s hit song Freedom, which has become an anthem for Harris’ campaign.

On Vote Early Day, Jessica Alba passionately encouraged her Instagram followers to fulfill their civic responsibility by casting their votes and expressing their opinions.

She posted an attractive selfie while wearing a ‘Vote’ necklace and expressed her support for #VoteEarlyDay by reaching out to her friends and family to ensure they are registered, have a voting plan, or have already cast their ballots.

In simpler terms, the mother of three said, “The election will be finished in just 7 days. If we vote early, it ensures that nothing like unexpected issues, lengthy queues, or complicated regulations prevents us from expressing our views during this crucial time.

She urged everyone to cast their votes ahead of time. This upcoming election, she emphasized, is one of the most significant in our lifetimes. It’s where we collectively choose the next President of the United States, our representatives in Congress, and whether key legislative proposals become law.

Actress Mariska Hargitay, famously recognized for portraying Olivia Benson on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, captured an image of herself exercising her vote in New York City.

She wrote on her post: “I have faith in a future where individual liberties are safeguarded and rights respected. Today, I cast my ballot for that future. You’re important. Your opinion counts. Your vote makes a difference. Let’s work together to determine our shared destiny. Let’s head out and EXERCISE OUR VOTING RIGHTS!!!

Her post comes less than two weeks after she publicly endorsed Harris’ Presidential bid.

In a political ad for Harris, the actress, 60, spoke about spending her entire ‘life fighting for girls and for women, both on screen and off.’

She wrote as a caption: “I’m looking for a firm leader who will safeguard the law and ensure our liberties.” In this election, where there’s so much at stake, my preferred presidential candidate is undoubtedly KAMALA HARRIS.

Cindy Crawford shared a photo standing by a valid ballot drop-off location, emphasizing that casting a vote is a significant honor we have in America.

Lizzo proudly wore a ‘Harris Walz’ baseball cap after dropping off her ballot.

As a devoted supporter, I cast my vote! Here’s a photo of me beaming with pride, clad in a white tee, jeans, and flaunting the symbol of civic duty – my “I Voted” badge. #America

Gwyneth Paltrow, like many other celebrities, didn’t hold back from posting a picture showing off her “I Voted” badge.

James Taylor took to Instagram with a powerful message about the importance of voting.

In some parts of the globe, individuals bravely put their lives on the line to exercise their right to vote. Contrastingly, here in the United States, about half of eligible voters choose not to participate. Regular local elections occur frequently, but significant national elections take place every two years. To ensure the smooth functioning of our democracy, it’s essential that we simplify and make voting as accessible and hassle-free as possible. It is our primary responsibility as citizens to actively engage in this fundamental democratic process.

Taylor added: ‘However, some among us are putting effort into limiting voter access, preventing people from voting. It’s disgraceful what they’re doing.’

He reminded fans that this is a ‘really important election’ with ‘so much at stake.’

The musician inquired, “Can you sense it, America? Can you comprehend our urgent task at hand? How crucial it is at this moment? I certainly can.” He explained, “For me, it’s straightforward because I don’t need to alter my beliefs. However, the decision lies with you, who must reconsider your allegiances, reflect upon your inner convictions, and possibly go against loved ones to pick the correct path.

He concluded the post by writing: ‘There’s still time to get out and register so you can participate by casting your vote. Let’s make it happen. If you love your country, register and vote.’

Mandy Moore, who welcomed her third child last month, also managed to vote early.

She posted a selfie with her ‘I Voted’ sticker, writing ‘Voted!’ as the caption. Now it’s your turn! Encourage three friends or family members to make a plan and head to the polls too. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by – there’s a lot at stake! For more details about voting in your area, check out Iwillvote.com.

Last week, Kevin Bacon showed off his dance moves as he made his way to a public mailbox to cast his mail-in ballot.

In a more casual, conversational style: ‘The election isn’t starting on November 5th – it’s ending then! Go ahead and vote early!’ This is his video where you can see him casting his vote.

Model Brooklyn Decker shared a selfie with her husband Andy Roddick after voting early.

In the image, they both smiled as they rocked ‘I Voted Early!’ stickers on their cheeks.

Today was an excellent day, and I have some important information for residents of North Carolina, particularly Mecklenburg County. This election holds significant power for you! Remember, the last Senate race in this area was decided by just two votes per precinct – demonstrating how crucial each vote can be here. It’s thrilling to know that your vote has such a substantial impact on the outcome.
