Clash of Clans February 2026 update: All the changes explained
Changes to Ranked Mode
Ranked Mode was designed to let players enjoy the game at their own pace, but Supercell recognizes it hasn’t quite hit the mark for all players. A lot of people have said that climbing the highest leagues now feels much slower and more difficult than it used to.
We’re planning a few updates to improve your experience. We’ll fix a bug that was incorrectly warning players about being demoted, so you won’t get unnecessary warnings about dropping leagues. We’re also tweaking the promotion and demotion rates in some leagues to make it easier to move up and feel like you’re making progress.
Supercell is making it easier to stay in the top leagues by reducing the number of battles needed. This is to help players avoid feeling overwhelmed and having to constantly attack just to keep their ranking. They’re also tweaking how difficult battles are, based on what players have been saying.
Addressing the TH18 meta
Supercell also discussed the current gameplay at Town Hall 18 in their blog. They explained that many strategies that were effective at Town Hall 17 aren’t working as well now, primarily because the Town Hall can no longer defend against attacks and certain troops haven’t been upgraded to newer levels.
The developers plan to adjust their approach as they add new content, aiming for experiences that are both exciting and impactful. They acknowledge that the recent upgrade to Town Hall 18 wasn’t as seamless as it could have been, and they’re already using player feedback to improve future updates to Town Halls.
Supercell concluded their post by emphasizing that these updates are part of their continuous commitment to making Clash of Clans enjoyable for everyone. This means changes won’t be set in stone, and players can expect more frequent updates to keep the game fresh and exciting.
