Tina Knowles unveils her own 2025 release — a memoir — and Beyoncé 'couldn't be prouder'

As a movie lover who cherishes tales of resilience and inspiration, I eagerly await Tina Knowles‘ memoir “Matriarch.” Having grown up in the same era as Ms. Knowles, her journey resonates with my own experiences, making her story feel personal and relatable.

Make room for “Daddy Lessons,” as Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, prepares to reveal her own insights in an upcoming book.

On Tuesday morning, it was announced that Knowles is working on her first memoir titled “Matriarch,” which is set to be published next spring. This influential businesswoman and mother of singer Solange, who once designed costumes for Destiny’s Child, shared on Instagram that her book will delve into the wisdom women share with one another across generations.

At the age of 70, Knowles continues to discover invaluable lessons – insights that I deeply wish I had grasped at 40 or even 20. Now, I yearn to impart this wisdom directly to you, dear reader, as we share our laughter and tears throughout the various stages of our lives.

As per Knowles’ website, “Matriarch” is set to chronicle her life journey, starting from her childhood in Galveston, Texas during the 1950s, up until her role in nurturing not just two but three superstar offspring – Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, along with Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland, referred to as a “bonus daughter”.

In another post, Knowles referred to writing her memoir as being similar to childbirth over the past two years, sharing with her audience that she experienced a variety of feelings while recording her life experiences on paper. She described the process as both healing and shaping.

In her own words, “This experience aided me in discovering my authentic self, and upon reflection, I didn’t find myself until the age of 70. I hope this book serves as a guide for others to avoid some of the missteps I took due to not fully understanding what I desired, required, and deserved.

This year, Beyoncé, drawing inspiration from her mother’s ancestry for her “Cowboy Carter” visuals, expressed on Instagram how she feels “immensely proud” of her mom. The artist also posted a picture of the book cover: a vibrant portrait of her mom enclosed in an ornate golden frame.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I can’t help but express my admiration for the Grammy-winning pop sensation who broke our souls with “Break My Soul.” In an open and heartfelt gesture, she publicly praised her mom for bravely sharing her personal tales with the world. With a tender smile, she echoed the timeless sentiment, “To truly know you is to love you.” However, in a loving nudge, she also suggested that her mom might want to save a little bit for future surprises, allowing us all to continue anticipating and cherishing the intimate moments she shares.

“Please don’t spill too much Mama Tea,” Beyoncé joked.

Knowles’ “Matriarch” will hit shelves April 22, and can be preordered on the book’s website.

Beyoncé, a renowned star, has embarked on another venture outside of music with the release of her newest endeavor. Just a month after debuting the SirDavis whiskey brand, she introduced her Cé Lumière perfume, which caused some dismay among her social media followers.

Just the other day, I shared news about my upcoming memoir – a journey through my life’s tapestry – after reuniting with my fellow Destiny’s Child sisters in Texas, standing side by side in solidarity for Vice President Kamala Harris. Yesterday, I took to Instagram, asking my followers to exercise their democratic right and cast their votes for this history-making woman, who could become our first female president if elected.

“Do not miss the opportunity to be a part of history,” she wrote.
