Eric Clapton drops can’t-miss details on 2026 Crossroads Guitar Festival

Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival will return to Texas in 2026. Clapton has hosted the festival roughly every three years since 1999, and while it’s been held in Dallas several times – including 2019 – this marks the first time the event will take place in Austin.

Dallas has a vibrant music scene, but Austin stands out for its incredible diversity. If you’re looking for a city with everything from blues and country to rock and beyond, Austin is the place to be – making it an ideal location for a festival like Clapton’s.

This year’s festival takes place on September 26th and 27th at the Moody Center. Eric Clapton will be performing both nights, joined by a lineup of legendary musicians including Pete Townshend of The Who, Buddy Guy, Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, John Mayer, and Jimmie Vaughan.

What you need to know about Eric Clapton’s 2026 edition of the Crossroad Guitar Festival

These are just some of the incredible artists scheduled to perform. You can also expect to see Joe Bonamassa, the Del McCoury Band, Trey Anastasio from Phish, Marcus King, and Taj Mahal, plus many more. Basically, if you attend, you’re in for two days packed with amazing music.

Festival tickets go on sale to everyone this Friday, April 3rd, at 10 am Central Time. You can find more details on the official Crossroads website.

I’m really glad to know that when we buy tickets, the money goes to support Clapton’s Crossroads Centre in Antigua. It’s an amazing place Eric Clapton set up back in 1998 to help people overcome addiction and get their lives back on track. What I love is they don’t just help the person struggling, but also involve their families and loved ones in the whole recovery journey – it’s a really holistic approach.

Eric Clapton has overcome issues with substance abuse and has remained sober since the 1980s. Recovery isn’t a quick fix, though – it’s an ongoing challenge, as anyone who’s dealt with addiction themselves or supported someone else through it can attest.

Before the festival, Eric Clapton and Jimmie Vaughan are planning two joint concerts. They’ll be performing in Detroit on September 6th and in Kansas City on September 17th.
