As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for narrative-driven games, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Life is Strange: Double Exposure. Having played and fallen in love with the original Life is Strange, I was excited to revisit Arcadia Bay and catch up with Max Caulfield.
Today, Square Enix and developer Deck Nine have unveiled “Life is Strange: Double Exposure,” a game that was previously made available to Ultimate Edition owners two weeks ahead of schedule through ‘Advanced Access.’ Now, the full game is accessible to everyone.
In the sequel, Double Exposure, we rejoin our heroine Max Caulfield, who after departing Arcadia Bay following the events of the first game, has become a resident photographer at Caledon University. This new adventure finds you immersed in a gripping murder mystery. However, there’s an unexpected element to this tale as it unfolds through two intertwining timelines.
In one reality, Max’s friend Safi has tragically been killed. In an alternate scenario, Safi is very much alive, and it falls upon Max to discover a means of protecting her, as they navigate between two worlds. As Max delves deeper into the enigma surrounding Safi’s near-death experience, they tirelessly pursue the truth and seek solutions to this intricate puzzle.
Life’s Strange sequel, titled “Double Exposure,” is available today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The standard version costs $49.99 or £49.99, the Deluxe Edition is priced at $59.99 or £59.99, while the Ultimate Edition goes for $79.99 or £74.99. A Nintendo Switch release will follow at a later time. For those interested, you can watch the launch trailer and read our review of “Life is Strange: Double Exposure” below.
