As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for tactical RPGs and a soft spot for swashbuckling adventures, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and patience upon hearing about the delay of Flint: Treasure of Oblivion until November. Having weathered many a storm in my gaming career, I know that a little extra polish can make all the difference between a good game and a great one.
The developers at Microids and Savage Level have revealed that they are pushing back the release date of Flint: Treasure of Oblivion to November, giving them additional time to add a bit more shine and refinement to their upcoming turn-based tactical pirate RPG.
The announcement of a delay also brings a long look at the new gameplay, lasting over four minutes and offering insights into Flint’s mechanics, pirate world, and Role-Playing Game aspects. You’ll venture through engaging settings, converse with locals, advance the storyline, and uncover further missions.
On your adventurous journey, you’ll come across cards that offer numerous benefits for Flint and his band of buccaneers. These cards allow for leveling up, procuring new weaponry, boosting dice rolls, and enhancing characteristics such as defense, agility, and vitality. In order to sail with Flint, you’ll need to recruit a crew of pirates, each filling essential roles like the Surgeon, Freebooter, or Helmsman.
Featuring a robust tabletop role-playing style and narrative reminiscent of comic books, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting 14th November. Learn more about the game by watching the latest video showcase below.
