Chloe Sims reveals shocking night club incident which has left her in constant ‘fear’ as she opens up about witnessing ‘men in high places abuse their position of power’
As a woman navigating through the bustling cityscapes of Los Angeles and New York, I can’t help but resonate with Chloe Sims’ sentiments. Her experiences, like many women’s, are a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities we face in our everyday lives, especially when it comes to public transportation or late-night outings.
Chloe Sims has disclosed that someone put something into her drink while they were both socializing, which has left her feeling anxious and on edge all the time.
Previously on TOWIE, the actress, aged 42, shared that she experienced being targeted during her youth when she worked as a Playboy promotional model. This traumatic event made her feel exposed or vulnerable, and this sense of vulnerability has grown over time.
During her peak years on TOWIE and as a budding model, Chloe frequently found herself at high-profile red carpet events and star-studded gatherings. She openly acknowledges observing instances of women being mistreated by influential figures, an experience that significantly escalated her feelings of apprehension.
In an exclusive interview with TopMob, she said: ‘I had my drink spiked when I was younger, so I have experienced what that is like… I have been involved in some situations that I’m not ready to talk about.
Ever since my teenage years, I’ve carried an unshakable sense of vulnerability within me. Every moment is tinged with a lingering fear that has become an unwelcome constant in my life. Fear of intrusion at home, fear of encounters with strangers when I step out, and even the dread of having my drink tampered with. It’s as if I’m walking on eggshells, always mindful of potential threats lurking around every corner.
In today’s world, it can be nerve-wracking to express thoughts aloud, yet there are certain situations that make me feel uneasy, such as being frightened at night or rushing to get through my door swiftly. However, it’s not fear of women that I harbor; instead, I find myself generally apprehensive about men.
Chloe expresses her complete backing for the victims who have spoken out in the case involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is under investigation for sex trafficking and other offenses. This comes after more than 120 individuals claimed misconduct by the rapper over a period of two decades.
She stated: ‘In my younger days, I frequented the popular nightspots and encountered numerous celebrities. There were certainly some odd moments that I can recall distinctly. Although I never had an encounter with Diddy, I did witness questionable situations. Over the years, I’ve seen a lot, and I believe these powerful individuals might reconsider their behavior towards women now that everything is being exposed.’
Instead of relying on public transportation due to escalating safety concerns for women, the resident star of the Sims family, now based in Los Angeles and having just visited New York City, prefers to find alternative modes of travel.
She believes it should be legal for females to carry pepper spray and a taser in the UK, as per the right in Los Angeles, to protect themselves against potential predators.
She said: ‘I feel like being a woman in general, we are vulnerable and there’s no doubt about that. You can learn how to fight and be a powerful woman but at the end of the day I do believe we are vulnerable.
I avoid using public transportation due to fear; when I was in New York, everyone recommended taking the subway, but I found that idea unappealing because traveling underground in a train without proper security makes me vulnerable to unwanted approaches from strangers.
As a lifestyle advocate, I often ponder about the discrepancies between safety regulations across different regions. For instance, in Los Angeles, individuals are legally permitted to carry self-defense tools like pepper spray and tasers. Given the similar safety concerns that exist in the UK, it’s perplexing why we aren’t afforded the same privilege here. When I find myself in potentially risky situations, such as getting into Ubers late at night alone, I ensure to bring these self-defense tools with me for my peace of mind.
In a crunch, I might not reach for it, but having it provides a sense of security, knowing I can safeguard myself if things take an unexpected turn for the worse.
In England, it’s forbidden to possess certain items, even within the safety of one’s own home. If an intruder breaks in, they can only be arrested if they cause physical harm – which is truly unsettling.
Chloe, whose 19-year-old daughter is Madison, emphasizes that she has made efforts to instill in her a sense of caution when socializing at nightclubs, especially when consuming alcohol.
After Chloe experienced being drugged with her drink as a young woman, she expresses concern that Madison might face the same fate and become a victim of this crime in the future.
“She expressed that she has additional concerns about raising a daughter, as keeping track of her beverages is one of her major worries.
In everyday terms, I’m usually quite cautious or apprehensive, and I stay vigilant in club settings… Yet, there’s one person I frequently concern myself with: Madison.
Last week, I learned through TopMob that my beloved Chloe is embarking on a fresh journey, leaving her home in LA behind for the vibrant city of New York. Excitingly, she’s already secured an apartment there!
Leaving Essex in her past, she embarked on her ambition to become the lead in a reality show titled “House of Sims.” The second season is currently streaming online on Netflix.
Chloe explains that she chose to relocate to the city due to her immediate sense of ease in New York as opposed to Los Angeles, where she’s found it challenging to establish a meaningful romantic relationship.
She expressed: “I truly feel that this place is where I belong, and I’ve discovered it at last. Los Angeles once made me feel slightly disoriented due to the large number of young adults, but New York seems more welcoming.
‘I really think I could meet my husband in New York and I’m not even joking.’
