News Wire: Additional Character Visual Adjustments

As a long-time player and ardent enthusiast of Seasun, I must admit that I was initially taken aback by this latest announcement about visual changes to operatives, outfits, and interactive scenes. It seems like just when we thought we were safe from further alterations, another wave hits us! However, I’ve learned to roll with the punches in my years of gaming, and I trust that Seasun has good intentions behind these adjustments.

Hm, again?

According to official Snowbreak updates, some operatives, costumes, and interactive environments will undergo modifications in appearance. These alterations might catch players off guard more than the initial visual overhaul, since it was previously thought that the game would remain untouched by further changes post-first wave adjustments.

Affected Content

Case 1

The visual elements for the operatives and teams mentioned below have been updated, including their splash art, story images, and 3D models.

  • Yao – Quiet Quitter: Enduring Valor
  • Yao – Winter Solstice: Sparkling Swell
  • Mauxir – Shadow Ka: Sizzling Holiday
  • Chenxing – Ethereal Cloud: Wavecrest Glimmer
  • Katya – Dawnwing: Surfside Leisure
  • Enya – Exuvia: Seacove Serenity
  • Cherno – Enigma; Tidal Whispers
  • Marian – Riptide: Radiant Sunkiss

Case 2

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that some of these characters and teams just got a fresh new look, but don’t worry, their 3D models remain unchanged.

  • Katya – Dawnwing (Base)
  • Lyfe – Infinite Sight: Frozen in Love
  • Fenny – Starshine: Flourish of Heart
  • Marian – Swift: Midnight Rose
  • Lyfe – Wednesday: Devoted Voyager

Interactive Scenes

  • Katya – Dawnwing’s exclusive interactable scene “Sea of Allure”: The interactable scene will be temporarily unavailable. It will be be made available again after the 2.3 update.
  • Marian – Riptide’s exclusive interactable scene “Night of Desire” preview will be temporarily unavailable, and will be made available again once adjustments are complete.

Other

Some story images, cutscenes and images related to the Azure Paradise event have been changed.

The Practical Impact

Let me clarify this for you – this update is indeed a shift towards censorship. Change, as we all know, can be uncomfortable. But rest assured, the decensor tool will still function effectively within these changes. I’m confident that it will continue to operate without any threat to your account.

Additionally, it’s been mentioned that Seasun consistently prioritizes including features for fans within their gameplay experience. Perhaps the upcoming rewards they’ve planned will serve as proof, demonstrating that they truly back their words with action.

Compensation

Outfit Purchases

  • All BitGold directly spent on outfits receiving 3D model changes or interactive scenes that have been adjusted will be 100% refunded
    • Yao – Winter Solstice’s “Sparkling Swell” outfit is a Quartermaster Rebate outfit and as thus is not included
    • Cherno – Enigma’s Tidal Whispers outfit, being a battlepass outfit, is valued at 48 BitGold and the refund will be for that amount.
  • Notably, Marian – Riptide’s interactive scene will be refunded at its non-discounted price of 50 BitGold. Yes, this means you will be refunded a greater amount of BitGold than you spent to purchase it.
  • Bright-Star Tickets spent on the purchase of Yao – Quiet Quitter’s “Enduring Valor” outfit will be refunded the 45 Bright-Star Tickets spent to purchase it.
    • Players who were previously refunded 5 Bright-Star Tickets from the first outfit adjustment will be refunded the remaining 40 Bright-Star Tickets for the same total of 45.
    • This refund also seems to be available to players who purchased Fenny – Lionheart’s “Indomitable Charm” outfit, despite not being affected by this wave of changes.

Yes, you’re reading this right.

Refunds can be claimed for eligible transactions completed prior to October 30, 2024, 12 PM (UTC+8). These refunds will be distributed after this date; however, please note that it might take some time to process all refund requests from the players. To convert this deadline to your specific timezone, click here.

Furthermore, those who advance to Tier 5 of the Quartermaster Rebate Program (having added over 2,000 BitGold to their account), will be rewarded with:

  • A new outfit, expected to be ready and delivered by version 2.7. No further details have been made available at the time of writing.
  • Yao – Winter Solstice’s “Sparkling Swell” outfit
  • Other rewards, no specific details listed at time of writing

Players who had Fenny – Starshine prior to October 30, 2024 at 12PM (UTC+8) time are eligible for a fresh wardrobe update for her, which is planned for release in version 2.8.

By October 30, 2024, at 12PM (UTC+8), every player will receive a unique “Fenny: Starshine Dance” profile avatar and sticker pack as a gift. Before the release of version 2.3, additional sticker packs will be made available for both operatives and outfits that are being revised, and these will be distributed beforehand.

I attempted to contact a representative from Seasun for additional information, yet they did not get back to me as this article was being written.
