After making the announcement, Disney revealed the initial visuals of the upcoming series featuring Selena Gomez and Jeffrey Henrie reprising their roles as the legendary Russo siblings, the iconic duo we all know so well.
Besides taking up the role of an executive producer, Gomez will also make occasional appearances on the project.
The new series introduces a fresh generation of Russos, with Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie Russo, Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, and Max Matenko as Milo Russo.
As per Disney’s summary, the series focuses on Justin, now an adult, who has opted for a human lifestyle alongside his family.
When Alex shows up needing assistance from him regarding Billie, Justin gets drawn back into the realm of magic. He juggles his mentor duties, ordinary tasks, and safeguarding the destiny of the Wizarding World simultaneously.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place represents a nostalgic comeback to the cherished series that captivated viewers more than a decade past, picking up where the original show left off in 2012 and continuing the magic from the well-liked 2009 film titled “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie.
The magical series “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” will make its television debut on the Disney Channel on October 29. Starting from October 30, you can stream it exclusively on Disney+.
Starting tomorrow, Disney Channel will broadcast the initial two episodes. However, for those who want more immediate access, all eight first episodes will be available for streaming on Disney+ immediately following their television debut.
Beginning on November 8th, Disney Channel is set to air two fresh episodes each week, every Wednesday at 8 p.m., Eastern Time.
The original Wizards of Waverly Place is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
