Timothée Chalamet crashes his own look-alike contest. No, the 'Dune' star didn't win

As I gaze upon these images and read about the “Best Tim” competition held in New York City, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of admiration for Timothée Chalamet. Here is a man who has managed to captivate not just the hearts of his fans, but also those who share an uncanny resemblance to him.

It appeared that Timothée Chalamet wasn’t the sole handsome young man wandering through New York City during the weekend.

On a surprising Sunday, the actor known for his Oscar-nominated roles in “Call Me by Your Name” and “Dune” showed up at Washington Square Park. There, over 300 enthusiastic fans and doppelgangers eagerly awaited to declare “the best Tim.” This public event, which generated buzz due to its mysterious flyers, attracted participants with strong eyebrows, dark, wavy hair, some dressed as Charlie from “Wonka” and others as characters from “Dune”. However, the real Tim Chalamet was present but chose not to join the competition.

28-year-old actress from “Lady Bird”, accompanied by her security team, mingled with fans and doppelgangers following a disbanded crowd, as local authorities intervened due to an unauthorized costume competition. The authorities imposed a $500 fine on the organizers for hosting this event.

Police detained four people over an “unscheduled demonstration,” according to multiple outlets.

Originally, it was just a playful prank, but now it’s caused quite a commotion,” stated Paige Nguyen, one of Anthony Po’s producers, who arranged the event. Previously, Po became popular on social media for consuming an entire jar of cheese balls in Union Square Park, New York City.

Following the police’s involvement, the crowd shifted to a close-by park, where participants picked out who looked most like Timothée Chalamet among them, as he was not present at the second venue. In the end, Miles Mitchell from Staten Island, aged 21, won the title “Best Tim” along with a trophy and a $50 check of oversized proportions. He impressed everyone by dressing up in a style reminiscent of Chalamet’s character from “Wonka”, complete with an ascot and top hat.

“Craziest day of my life! I love NYC,” Mitchell wrote on Instagram. “@Tchalamet hey twin.”

On Sunday, the competition decided who would emulate Timothée Chalamet as the Lisan al Gaib; however, it’s only the authentic Timmy Tim that will appear in the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown,” set to release on Christmas day.
