Dani Dyer opens up about motherhood as she admits it was 'overwhelming' going from one children to three when her twins were born

As a dedicated follower of Dani Dyer’s journey, I must say that her story is nothing short of inspiring. Having been through motherhood once before, it seems the Love Island star was thrown into a whirlwind when she welcomed twin daughters just two years after giving birth to her son Santiago.

Dani Dyer has spoken candidly about her experience as a mother, confessing that the transition from having one child to three with the arrival of her twins was a very overwhelming experience for her.

28-year-old celebrity from Love Island welcomed a three-year-old son named Santiago in the year 2021, together with her ex-partner Sammy Kimmence.

2023 found me overjoyed when my beloved partner, Jarrod Bowen, and I expanded our family by welcoming twins, Summer and Star. These beautiful additions to our lives made me a mother of two for the second time, after a gap of two years since my first blessed experience.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Dani candidly shared that transitioning from a mom of one to a mom of three was quite a significant shift for her, given her father Danny.

She remarked that there’s no way to truly ready oneself for parenthood, nor can words express the depth of affection felt for one’s offspring.

‘Even when they do the tiniest things, you just have this overwhelming feeling of love.

However, it’s not always easy, particularly when dealing with twins for a second time. The shift from caring for one child to three can still feel incredibly overpowering for me.

In our conversation, Dani additionally discussed her professional aspirations, sharing that she’s eager to expand her role in documentary presentation.

While she claimed that her family life is complete with all necessities, Dani confessed her ambition to demonstrate her potential for greater achievements in her professional field.

In the realm of upcoming documentaries, let me share my enthusiasm: ‘Having already guided a documentary on anxiety and parenthood, I can’t help but yearn for another opportunity. This time, I’d be thrilled to delve into the fascinating world of extreme parenting, exploring unique approaches to child-rearing across various cultures.’

Following EastEnders actor Danny (age 47) disclosed that he and his family have taken on a more active role in caring for their daughter, as she manages her three kids during Jarrod’s absence at the Euros this summer.

I can’t help but share my excitement about Jarrod, who’s not just an extraordinary talent, but also an incredible father! You see, he’s been so engrossed this past summer, jetting off here and there, while Dani was constantly on the move too. It’s their busy lives that make us fans like me eagerly follow their journey!

Balancing those responsibilities with our children is quite challenging, hence we’ve chosen to approach this situation as a united family. Our aim is simply to raise well-rounded individuals.

Danny, who had been with Joanne Mas for many years before getting married in 2016, also mentioned that it’s quite peculiar to watch his daughter becoming a grandparent.

He said: ‘It’s mad seeing your children have kids. My Dani, she’s such an amazing human being. We’ve got a special bond.

I got her at the age of 18, which meant I was essentially just starting out in life too. Over time, we both matured and grew alongside each other. Through all my ups and downs, she has been there to witness them, and she’s become one of my closest friends.

Although Danny initially didn’t show much enthusiasm when his oldest joined the ITV2 dating program, they later teamed up to become a successful presenting pair instead.

Additionally, Danny pointed out that since both his daughter and her fiancé, Jarrod who is 27 years old, are often absent due to their jobs, he and Jo assume the responsibilities of caring for the children instead.

He admitted that while it is a lot to ‘juggle that and the children’, it is something they ‘just do’ as a family in their attempt to raise a ‘decent bunch’ of kids.

When Dani became a grandfather for the first time, she shared that her father was overwhelmed with emotion as he acknowledged that he had never experienced such feelings before. It took him by surprise.

On the Made By Mammas podcast, she shared that her father was surprised by his emotional response to becoming a grandfather. In fact, he had shown strong emotions when around Santiago, and one time, he even shed tears.

‘He went: “I love babies, but your baby. I have never felt anything like it. I didn’t think I’d feel like this”.’
